When it comes to bar-hopping in Flint, if you have any interest in microbrews, you really don't have much choice but to come here. Â They have 56? taps and they rotate them quite often. Â I've never once walked into this bar and looked at their beer list and said, "I've tried all of these."
I went out there last night and they had one beer from Right Brain Brewery that didn't even exist on Untappd yet. Â That's how good their beer selection is. Â The prices, considering how many rare beers they have and how many places they're getting them from, are also very reasonable.
If you're like me, every once in a while, you'll try to taste too many, and you'll have to make your wife drive you home while shaking her head at you.
I haven't sampled much of the food. Â I'll have to make it a point to try something other than the jalapeno poppers (which just seems to go well with the type of beers I drink there). Â I've been eyeing that Fat Darrel for a while. Â One of these days I'm going to have to come hungry
A great place to get drinks with dinner, especially on Thursday nights when they have $2.50 beers and $0.40 wings. They have General-Tso flavored wings, which is both unique and delicious. The beer selection is very large and changes often, with a lot of Michigan beers being featured. Aside from wings and beer, there are a lot of other great items on the menu. Overall this is probably one of the best bars in Flint!
Review Source:Great beer selection for those that like beer with flavor and attitude. Â Excellent service and huge menu to choose from! Â I have ordered several items and haven't had a bad one yet. Â Great burgers and wraps and surprisingly great Mexican food too. Â I recommend you give it a try if you haven't yet!
Review Source:The Red Baron is a bit of a hidden gem. I was always impressed with local places that had like 15 beers on draft. Red Baron has 34 at last count. The imports and microbrew taps rotate which is awesome and they usually have great selection.
The decor is basically your typical bar grill type place but with a focus on the Red Baron, with murals on the wall that look like World War I posters. The menu is pretty big and the food is pretty cheap. They have one sandwich called the Fat Darryl which has deep fried chicken fingers, french fries, mozerella sticks, and basically anything else you'd find on an appetizer sampler put on a bun with cheese. It's insane.
They do karaoke Wed-Sat but Wednesday nights are usually dead. This is perfect for your friend who loves to sing Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald or Nights in White Satin without worrying about him emptying the bar.
**edit** They've stopped doing Karaoke on Wednesday nights. Probably because my friend kept singing Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald and Nights in White Satin. Oh well.
