For what it is-- A sports bar-- this place is as good as it gets in the area. It is pub style food and they do it well. The bar is long and has lots of seats and there are tons of tables in the bar area. They also have a restaurant area but that is usually closed unless there is a private party or during the summer when it is busy.
Came here for one of the Bruins playoff games and it was the perfect spot. Got a pitcher of one of their specialty beers and had dinner and there were TV's everywhere so we were able to watch the game at all angles. Plus, everyone there was watching the game so everyone was into it and cheering together!
Service is always nice & quick, even though it can get kind of hectic at times. If you're looking for a spot to watch a game, this is it.
Disappointed. My fiancée and I went here for beers and burgers. Pretty hard to mess that up, unless you have our waitress. She didn't write down what we wanted, said she didn't need to because her memory was great.
She managed to mess up both our orders and then when we pointed it out to her, she said "wait you want what?" And we explained it several times. How hard is it to have tomatoes and lettuce removed from one and to add an egg to the other? Not very. She gave us attitude and the owner was there and I wish we had said something to him but we didn't. Our waitress blamed the mistake on the guys in the kitchen instead of owning up to it.
We won't be going back.
My friend wanted to watch the Bruins game and didn't want to drive to Harwichport to Hot Stove. What can I say that's positive? Well, when the waitress finally came, she was very sweet. I am eating clean and saw nothing on the menu so asked for nachos with light cheese, no sour cream, tomatoes, no onions and chicken. A pile of Fritos arrived laden with gooey cheese and BBQ sauce! I had two bites. The wine is Barefoot (Ugh) or Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. I should have stuck with the Guinness. She took my order off the bill as I could not eat the fried mess. I didn't ask so that was the two stars. With about 20 TV's it's as loud as a stadium.
Review Source:The food here is decent, the drinks poured well (Bloody Mary's are awesome), but the wait staff leaves a lot to be desired for. Â In the more than 5 times that my husband and I have been to Red Face Jacks in the past few months, we have had to ask for a waitress to come to our table. Â And even after a waitress would come, she would soon forget about us and we would be left without drinks for 15-20 minutes and we would once again have to track the wait staff down. Â This would be an awesome hangout if they could just get some servers who care. Â Even when asking someone to serve us, we get attitude and an "I'll find someone else who can take your table". Â It seems the hired staff at Red Face Jacks doesn't want to work and no one does anything to make them work. Â They either need new front of house management or a new staff completely.
Review Source:Quality of food has improved under new management. Â I ordered some takeout and was not disappointed. Â Chili is very tasty, made with brisket as opposed to ground beef. Â Roast beef sandwiches similar in quality to Timmy's Roast Beef. Â French fries were very good. Â Reminded me of the hand cut fries my grandmother used to make. Â If you like a pub atmosphere, this would be a great spot to grab lunch.
Review Source:Went there with family. Really good atmosphere, great TVs for sports. Food was weak. Chili was cold, bun on the burger was too big and the French fries were beyond awful. Made out of russet potatoes, overlooked and over salted. They replaced with fresh ones and they were just as bad. Probably won't go back except for drinks. Service was good.
Review Source:Hubs and I stopped in at Red Face Jacks one Sunday afternoon so we could watch the Baltimore - KC game since it wasn't televised on CBS or Fox. Â We were staying at The Cove and the front desk staff suggested we go there if we wanted to be able to watch all the games at once. Â Wonderful. Â So we drove over there, had no problem parking, and then entered. Â What I liked was that on every television in the bar area was the logo of the teams playing on the tv so you knew exactly what game to look at and knew where to sit. Â We found a coveted bar table and I fixed my eyes upon the Ravens game.
However, we waited. Â And then waited some more. Â Waitresses walked past us. Â Even a manager walked past us. Â Did I have my stealth cloak on? Â Nope. Â Finally after ten minutes, I asked one waitress serving the table next to us if we could order drinks from her. Â "I'll send your waitress over." Â And I shit you not, we waited nearly ten more minutes. Â Okay, now this is just ridiculous. Â I wanted to leave at this point, but Hubs was watching another game. Â The same waitress who told us she would send ours over stopped by again and asked if we had been served. Â There are no drinks and no menus on the table, so what do you think Einstein? Â We finally ordered two beers from her. Â And that took another five minutes.
So now we've waited for a full NFL quarter to get drinks. Â When our waitress finally (and I stressed that word, finally) showed up, I recognized her and realized she had walked past us quite a few times. Â There was no "I'm terribly sorry" or "my mistake," but rather a quick, "want another Bud Lite?" Â Actually, I wanted one when I first sat down, but I refrained from saying so. Â
We ordered a plate of wings in which I quickly inhaled. Â When I asked the waitress for more napkins, you would have thought I asked her to donate a kidney. Â I gave up on that front and instead went over to the server station and grabbed a stack. Â If I do say so, the wings were actually quite good and certainly filled my beer - wings - and football void. Â However, if I had it my way, I would have been out of there after ten minutes of waiting for a simple beer.
The wings may have been good, and being able to watch football on every television was nice, but the shitty service knocks this from a 4-star review down to a 1-star review.
been here a few times and had burgers each time. They are pretty good, and different than burgers at every other restaurant, so its nice to see a change.
Place is always empty when I go though, day, night, weekday or weekend, no matter what game is playing. Not a good sign
I was there for lunch and they had soccer on the overhead speakers and I was the ONLY guest there, so I asked if they could switch it over to baseball that was on the other tv's. The manager refused saying he wanted soccer on. Last I checked the tv's and music were there for the guests, not the staff.
Beer selection is terrible, they have a handful of brews but mostly ales or their own beer and the bartenders never know anything about their own selections.
Recommended by the Hampton Inn hotel front desk when asked "where I should be watching football?". This bar did not disappoint! As an Alabama fan that travel each season, bars that will put "the game" on are few and far between. They happily put the Alabama v. Florida Atlantic game on, even though I was the only one watching it. They even kept the game on when it was all but over at the 1/2. Not only were the bartenders attentive and friendly, but every beer I received was ice cold. I did not eat, but several people at the bar did. Their orders were received promptly, looked delicious, and I heard no complaints! A little bit of southern hospitality in the north, highly recommended! Thanks Red Face Jacks!
Review Source:This is down the street from us and I want to love it. Â I want it to be my place - but it falls short...
The biggest issue is the noise. Â One night we were there it was so loud I was literally shouting back and forth (her too) with the waitress. Â It wasn't from people in the bar areas, it was from the TVs being so loud it sounded like we were in the Garden.
The atmosphere is ok - all sports themed and lots of TVs. Â
Food has been ok - nothing that spectacular...typical bar food. Â Drinks were eh. Â
I was hoping and hoping this place would rock - but it doesn't...it's purely average and I think there are other places that are better in the area.
Came here with some of my friends to meet a few people last Friday night. We show up at 9pm on the dot starving. Our friends got there before us and ordered and said that we would be ordering food also. Â
Well, we walked in as the waitress was walking away from the table with their order. When she came back around (literally it was 9:02) we asked if we could order some food along with our friends order. She said no the kitchen was closed. I replied that our friends just order as we walked up and it was going to be three dinner orders. I figured she would want the tips and the kitchen would want the business from us out of towners. NOPE. She replied "well i can get you some popcorn" Â ok fine, 3 sodas and 1 popcorn.
Well the soda came and our friends food came and no popcorn ever came. The waitress seemed really busy and only stopped by once to check on us. We then decided to leave and it was 10 mintues to get her attention another 5 minutes for her to get the check. Â We seriously thought about walking out on our bill of 3 sodas but she didnt even split the check up so our friends took care of it.
Service sucks, french fries (tried my friends: were soggy), and it is overpriced. There is a bar and a dance floor and an area with a big screeen TV to watch sports.
Very chaotic in there, dark, but it was busy and crowd was older but had a good mix of people. If I wasnt so irritated with the service I would have liked to have stayed and danced but that pretty much ruined it and made me want to leave.
Maybe I will try this place again but I highly doubt it. Â If you go here I suggest you go early for food and if you want drinks go later when the dinner crowd has cleared out.
Been here a few times and  food here is pretty good, but very haphazard. Some of it really good (Make Me Sweat Wings, good burgers), and some of it mediocre (TERRIBLE Grilled Cheese). The place is pretty big and mercifully split into two sections, so super enthused sports dudes and their women can hang in the bar and diners can relax in the spacious dining room. Big TVs are strategically placed so no matter where you sit you can get a good view of whats happening.  Definitely a good place to have a few beers, eat lunch or dinner and watch a game. The portions are fairly ginormous, like you will be full and content, but also may be sweating and confused upon leaving.. Some interesting offerings for the gastronomically gluttonous are: "The Heart Attack" , which is a bacon cheeseburger burger sandwiched between two enormous grilled cheese sandwiches served with heaping fries. The "Monsta Beef" which is a 1 LB of roast beef on an onion roll, with a spicy horseradish mayo, served w those heaping fries. So portion wise its definitely a good value. These huge sandwiches, blazing hot wings and sports theme give the place a very "Man Vs Food" vibe. Would be a good place to bring a large group of people, as they have super size booths and big tables that can accommodate a crowd. The only direct competitor to Red face Jack's is DJ's, and their signature wings are different enough that you will want to alternate between the two places. This is their first year of business and I've only been here during the winter, but I'm betting that this place will be crowded as hell come the tourist season. Glad it is here though, Rt 28 and the Cape in general needs more businesses offering something different like this place.
Review Source:My friend and I went to the new Red Face Jacks on Rte. 28 in West Yarmouth. The bar side was full of people watching the football game. Huge-screen TVs for good sports watching. We went into the dining room and was pleased with the atmosphere. It looked clean and comfortable. We were there off hours - so it was not busy at all. Ordered the guacamole skins for an appetizer. They were obviously old potato skins nuked. They were gross. The bowl of clam chowder was mediocre. They don't do cups of chowder. My friend ordered the bacon burger and fries. The bacon burger was not good as the taste was coming back to her later in the day. Gross. The french fries, supposedly home made...were a far cry from McDonalds fries! I will not go again.
