  I spent a wonderful night at the Reluctant Navigator restaurant while visiting some friends in Tall Timbers.  The service was extremely friendly--the owners obviously know the regulars, and when you come in, they give you the feeling that you're one of the regulars.  Our server was always smiling and joking with us.  We had some local oysters that were caught just outside in the river--you can't get much more local than that!  I had the Bloody Mary steak, and it was delicious.  I always appreciate it when the cook prepares it to order.  A lot of the time, you go to these restaurants where they're afraid of cooking it on the rare side, but that's the way I like it, and that's the way they served it to me.  I'll come back!

  After eating there, I understand his reluctance. The food was somewhere between meh and ok. The environment when we first walked in the door was "we've made a terrible mistake" but after getting past the foyer filled with old boat motors, chainsaws, and crab traps covered in dust, the clean dining area changed our tune to "oh, this is probably all right."
  
  Service, not bad.
  
  Crab cake sandwich was overcooked in old oil, fishy - not so great.
  
  Wife had the Reuben - it was ok, but not fantastic. Meat wasn't too lean, but was cooked well.
  
  Fries were a bit limp, but not bad.
  
  Prices were fair, maybe a bit high for what we got.
  
  The place was empty, save for 8 or 10 person birthday party - the folks were very surprised to see us, and understandably so. I suspect that they get more business from boats pulling into the marina than cars coming up off the road.
  
  Overall - don't go out of your way to visit. We won't be stopping by again, unless we hear something amazing about the place.
