Renegade Country

This is the best country western club in california. Patricia will be teaching dance lessons starting sat sept 8 2012 and every sat.
The wagon wheel went out of business. Lots of young hot babes and cougers looking to meet guys who are good looking and willing to spend money.
If you are under employed between jobs or a loser in general you can still enjoy yourself but do not expect to get lucky

This past Saturday was the second time I have been to the Renegade in the last month.  Hands down, just a good ole' fashion "Honky Tonk," just off the beaten path in Lakeside. Very diverse crowd, but from my experience, the people were friendly, staff was attentive, drinks were strong, and of course you can't beat the LIVE MUSIC.  Reminds me of what we called "Red Dirt Country" in Austin.  In my opinion, surpasses the sugar-coated, fake, wanna be "Incahoots" scene.

I've been to a few of the "Country" bars around San Diego and I enjoyed them because it plays the music I enjoy and generally the people are friendly. Let me be honest though, most of those bars are country only because they are dressed up that way just like most of the people that are in them.
The Renegade, however, is as country as San Diego will ever see. I went to high school in Lakeside so I was aware of this invisible line that separates Lakeside and the people from the rest of SD. Still, I was surprised by how different this place was.
I liked it, I went back many times and I felt comfortable there. This is not a preppy bar disguised with a cowboy hat. Here, you may be able to see 2 mustangs side by side in the parking lot. The one like I had was raring with 265 hp, the one next to me had 1hp and was delivering road apples to the locals.
Good bar, good service and good distance from the concrete.
