Definitive Wisconsin bar. Friendly owner makes you feel welcome. Clean and well-kept dining area. The cheeseburger and fries were fresh, hot and delicious. Agree that the old oak bar invokes a nostalgic classic feel from days gone by. Will definitely be back to try other things off the menu. Of course the Friday fish fry and Saturdays chicken and ribs.

Best pizza in Door County? I think so, although competition from The Neighborhood Pub is strong. Richard's has a past -- a great old oak, probably, bar that doesn't look like it has changed from the Twenties, consistently good food, but excellent pizza.

The bar always seems to have a few people hanging out chatting, even at quiet times like 2 in the afternoon...and it has outdoor tables -- great for smokers who have Wisconsin's new smoking laws to contend with.
