Riley's Bar And Grille

This place is great. We stopped in on a whim with two other couples after an early dinner and we all agree we'll be going back to Riley's as soon as possible. You walk in and there's this amazing energy that's unexpected and awesome and comfy. The menu is way more interesting than you'd expect from your standard Irish-American pub. It's creative - Cheryl suggested we split the Scotch egg as an appetizer and it was just fabulous. Plus a fun, easy crowd and a great juke box. We really can't wait to go here again.

Cheryl and Mike have opened their new place in Elburn. Former owners of the Dog and Duck Inn in St. Charles they have done it right from the very start this time, offering some great food along with a cozy atmosphere making you feel like you belong there.
A horseshoe shaped bar seats about 14, with tables for another 25 or so.
Rileys restaurant and tavern features a full time chef and a traditional Irish-American pub menu, including such dishes as fish and chips, burgers and fries, bangers and mash along with some great wings!

The open daily for lunch also.

Stop by, say HI and grab a beer & burger.

We have now sampled the burgers and shrimp and WOW!
Far better than you would ever expect from a bar.
Friday evening it was standing room only most of the night.
Rileys is proving to be a new hot spot for the suburbs.

We have now sampled the Sheperd's Pie and meatloaf. I can tell you that the meatloaf is some of the best I have had! The Shepherds Pie has also never let anyone down.
Lot's of locals now call this place home. Kinda like a Cheers deal......everyone seems to know everyone else.

***UPDATE#3***

We were at Rileys when the other yelp reviewer & group from Batavia where there! We were across the bar from them.
I'm tellin' ya stop by and have some some. People at the bar interact and have a good time.

I'm also warning you that before the night is over you will hear the song "I don't feel like dancing" at least 5 times.as it is number 1 on the jukebox.

Be sure to tell Cheryl "That's a crock right there!"

Plans call for an outside patio in the rear also. The concrete has been poured.
