  Excellent time! ... Great food, Awesome service, Fabulous view ... Winning combination.
  
  Stopped in on our way home from camping on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The restaurant offers a very pleasant casual atmosphere.  Large windows offer a view from throughout the restaurant of the river.  The bar has 10 to 12 seats and a big screen television.  There is outdoor seating on the deck also overlooking the river.
  
  They offer six tap handles and we're currently featuring local craft beers from Virginia breweries.  It was a nice selection of beers.  They also have all the traditional beers available bottles.  They also offer several Virginia wines and have a full bar.
  
  Their menu offers a lot of local seafood choices which was nice to see.   The menu offered quite a variety where I'm sure everyone is certain to find something they would enjoy.
  
  We started with the lobster wontons with plum sauce and they were excellent.  I had the crabcake which being from Maryland I am very picky about and I thought it was prepared very well and very flavorful.  My wife had the crab melt which she thoroughly enjoyed.
  
  David was our server and we felt he did an excellent job.  He was attentive but not overbearing.  He talked about the local breweries they were featuring which we found very interesting.
  
  We will definitely be back and recommended you stopping in as well.

  Excellent! My wife and I had the crab cakes and the crab melt. Service was great and the food was delicious. We also used their Yelp $20 for $10 deal and it worked out very smoothly. Made 301 worth taking to bypass the I-95 traffic.

  The view from this restaurant is pretty awesome! We sat at the bar, and the bartender was nice, but not amazing. The shrimp po boy I ordered tasted delicious, but I thought it weird that the tails were left on. It might just be me, but no one I know eats shrimp tails and it was kind of annoying having to detail them once there was different sauces on top. Still worth a try though for sure!

  This is one of the few restaurants with water views in the F'burg and surrounding areas.  We went in the spring and sat outside.  It looked like the restaurant hadn't been open for long.  We were the only ones on the patio and we each had burgers.  Nothing to complain about.  Service was prompt, restaurant was clean and had nice views.

  I really liked this little place.  It's quaint and quite welcoming.  Even though the bar makes up a large portion of this restaurant it doesn't seem to detract from the overall feel or food consistency.  I've had a few different entrees and even desert.  I was impressed with the Rib Sandwich as it was honestly pulled from a bone.  The Key Lime pie was good as well.
  
  The view of the River and service also make this a place to keep on the "yelp" radar.  Check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed.  I know I wasn't.

  Outstanding dining experience!  Customer service was excellent and the food was DELICIOUS!  A bit out of he way but well worth the drive!  Would highly recommend River Haven to anyone!

  Actually I'd give it 3-1/2 stars.
  
  Ordered:
  
  Calamari Appitizer
  Calamari served over a bed of lettuce.  Nicely battered, not over-fried.  Crisp outside with tender meat.  You get calamari body and legs.  Lemon aioli that came with it was wonderful!  Although it tasted more like a lemon cream sauce than aioli.  
  
  Fried Seafood Platter
  Scallops(4), Flounder(1 Fillet), Shrimp(4), Crabcake(1), Oysters(4), Sides(2 choices)
  Lightly battered and not too crispy that it takes away from the flavor of the seafood.  Seafood is tender and flavorful.  Crabcake didn't have a strong crab flavor. :(  Served with a  We ordered fries and fresh veggies for sides.  
  
  Salad with House Ranch
  This came with the platter.  You also get a roll with the salad.  Mixed greens, with pieces of tomato and julienne carrots.  the ranch dressing is more like a creamed bacon dressing. it's SO good!  It's a creamed dressing with herbs, flavored of bacon.
  
  PRICES ARE HIGH for their portions. Not sure if it's because of their location (getting food there from their supplier) or because it's not a dive-type place(although i wouldn't call this place upsale or gourmet) or because they present the food nicely....maybe all of that make their prices high.  
  
  Interior is spacious and clean.  Both indoor and outdoor seating available.  Full bar.  Selection of seafood & kids menu available.  Wonderful view of the river and bridge from the restaurant.  Service is fast and friendly.

  Great view decent food good people. Haven burger was delicious good bun. Fun to watch the locals catching lots of catfish on the pier. Like the support of local farmers and suppliers. Hear the local crabs are coming. Travel for biz and I'll be back to bang some hard shells
