While staying on Anderson Island, we had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant. Â With my expectations set low, I was pleasantly surprised. Â The food was better than expected, service was great, and the atmosphere was a throw back to a lost time.
I ordered a hamburger and it was delicious. Â Everyone in our party commented on the food being excellent. Â It filled us up and no one left feeling hungry. Our waitress was a local girl and she made us feel welcomed to her part of the Northwest. Â After dinner, our party even played foosball and we did not feel rushed to leave the building.
My family and I will be back to visit the next time we are in the area.

This restaurant has you trapped because they are the only restaurant on the island. Â Knowing this, I didn't except much but was still truly disappointed. Â The Food = Not bad, actually pretty good menu/selection and the quality of the food was acceptable. Â The service = terrible! Â Dinner at 8pm one evening took over 45 minutes for food to arrive. Â Restaurant was not very crowded (it was later) but I figured they were still busy and thought we give the place another try for breakfast. Â Ordered coffee and a bloody mary to start. Â Coffee came 15 minutes later right before kids food. Â Drink didn't come until after kids foods. Â Main meals arrived about 1 hour after being seated. Â

The "kicker" - Saturday night, went to have dinner and was told there was a $10 cover charge due to a band playing later in the evening. Â I had 2 kids with me under age 8 and was told they still needed to pay the cover of $10 plus a drink. Â Are you kidding me? Â These are kids! Â We had a party of 6 so we weren't going to pay $60 just to eat dinner there since we had no plans to stay late for the band.

There is a small grocery store on the island. Â We ended up buying frozen pizza and hot dogs for dinner. Â Actually turned out much more fun for the kids but here is a good tip - Do NOT plan on eating all of your meals at the restaurant. Â Bring your own food if possible! Â The store has OK selection but outrageous prices.

Love the menu & full bar.
Fun to tell clients that there's a lakeside restaurant on the island that serves good food and has a full bar. The new managers are doing an awesome job with fresh food and live music.

My Â Mom lives on Â this island, and this restaurant has been through a lot of changes. The new owners are great, the food is good, and they are really doing a good job of putting this little place back on the map. They have local Â entertainment events and are starting to bring in Â different venues, kudos for them, it's only getting better and I'm rooting for them! Go Riv! I loved my steak, Â and my Mom loved her salad, tasty bueno!
