Good food with a huge choice but it's served by stony faced servers who always seem like they are just a word away from biting your head off.
The food has always been good but getting changes to your selection can be taxing. Yesterday someone was offered soup or salad but asked for both. It was like she had just committed a sin or something. She was told with attitude that she would have to pay more long before the server agreed to give it to her. She wouldn't have asked if she didn't expect to pay more!
I don't know maybe it's me but isn't service with a smile something you teach on day one? Not here at the Rosewood I guess. In spite of this I will go back as this is one place I know myself and my work mates can go where we will all find something we want to eat.
This is a simple family owned greek/ family style restauraunt. This is one of those places where you have to know what to order to get decent food. A lot of the food is premade like certain pasta dishes, etc. I always stick to the salads and lemon rice soup and am always pleased. I've only been to this location a couple of times and the food is decent and the prices dirt cheap. You get what you pay for here. The staff is friendly and fairly quick and the owner is typically always there. Don't go in expecting a culinary masterpiece but it's much better then fast food or the neighborhood applebees.
Review Source:This is  family style restaurant and for what it is, it's really quite good.  The service was friendly and prompt.  The food was good.  Someone else mentioned the Lemon-Rice soup as being excellent, I concur!  Prices were reasonable and considering that there didn't seem to be much in the area for sit down dining, I was quite impressed with Rosewood.
Review Source:Yes, I agree with most comments on here, this place is just...eh.  I cringe whenever my mother-in-law has the desire to invite us to meet up with her here for breakfast or lunch.  She always happens to  mention "because it's cheap". Â
On the menu are your typical diner items. Â Usually lots of specials which seem to all be the same every time we come. Â The crowd is usually the retired and elderly type. Â So right away you know they don't really come for the quality but the quantity and the special low prices.
Contrary to Justin's lack of taste and intellect, the food is typical Greek fare with average luncheon results. Â The egg-lemon soup is good as mentioned. Â The higher end items like lamb chops are well prepared. Â The specials attract the business crowd in the area.
As to Justin's dad, Â I feel sorry for the guy. Â Looks like he did his best with the lad and that failed miserably. Â Bet Justin wears his hat backward to look cool. My guess is the only reason he gets seated in restaurants is the law protects nasty little boys too. Â Justin is our least common denominator -- he has shirt and shoes.
Oh God, my dad loved going to this restaurant when i lived in Portage. 'Let's go to Rosewood's, son. They have great beef stew."
WTF DAD!!!
This place is border-line shit, with a scoop of crap. Greek-owned business, every dish they make seems as if it was microwaved and promptly thrown on a platter. They even have those token stale pies in the old-ass token pie-display case....1970's!!!!
RANK!!!
Stay away if applicable.
Good generic breakfast/greek food.
The inside is a bit dull, not that it matters because what they lack in pretty decorations they make up with some pretty good food. Their Lemon-Rice soup is not to be missed, and their breakfast specials are very worth what they cost. Don't expect gourmet food, but this small restaurant is good eating.
