Rossi's Bar & Grill

I've been here several times. For a bar and grill, they have great homemade food.  Either at the bar or in the dinning room, service on the other hand has always lacked. This is a 2 star place. I gave it 3 because they are fighting an uphill battle in the declining city of Trenton.

I also saw this place on tv and being that it was close to home I thought it would be fun to check it out.

The neighborhood is horrible.  Was praying my car would be there when I left was on my mind throughout lunch.  

Now to the food.   I got the cheeseburger which was priced at $6.95 (with tomato , lettuce and raw onion).  The server asked what I wanted on the burger.  I asked for cheddar and with the veggies listed on the menu.  I also got the fries which were $1 and change extra.

Burger was big, barely any fries came with it.  It was a decent burger.  I was expecting ALOT more due to its tv hype.

The bill came and my cheeseburger that was 6.95 on menu with cheese and veggies turned into an almost $10 burger.  70 cents for cheddar, and $1 and change for "California style" (which is for onion . tomato and lettuce) .  

The server never mentioned  that during ordering and its not the issue for the few bucks its the fact that it clearly stated the veggies came with burger and nothing about up charges for cheddar .  

Just a shady feeling for a server was appeared very sweet and I think was the owners daughter based on pics throughout building.

I found Rossi's on Burgerland (Travel Channel)  3 words:  EX Cell Ent!  Eating in a 80+ year old establishment is better than visiting a museum...you are in a museum of great American fare and their famous Rossiburger.  You MUST go to Trenton, New Jersey to experience this.
You will have a MEDIUM burger of approximately 5 ounces.  It will be cooked medium, unless you ask otherwise BUT ORDER IT MEDIUM or else!!  Anything else will ruin it. and Daniel, the waiter will be very upset!!  The burger is not seasoned, so it's up to you and your liking.  GO NOW!!!
