First of all. Â If you're anywhere near New Palestine AT ALL and want a place to just CHILL OUT? Round the Corner Pub is for you! Â It's not just a PUB for the 21 and uppers, either!
That's right! Â You can take the kids in there by day for a burger and fries or some tater skins and wings... The service is DOWN HOME GREAT too! Â
Plenty of tables with seating and an equal plethora of bottled beers to enjoy while you're there. Â
Today made me love them even more!  We went in to order some take out food to sneak into a High School Graduation.  We told the staff we were in a hurry to get to New Pal High and she  was ON IT!  She served us a drink while we waited for our food and got us out the door with a few minutes to spare so we'd be on time!  AWESOME!!!
Tip 'em well, folks! Â The service rocks more that the juke box!
I ordered the 14.95 steak and bake potato , steak was ok, but bake potato was hard as a rock , I tell waitress and she says I wish you would have told me sooner, that would be really hard to do, since she never came back to check on us, I just took the price of potato out of here tip and I won't go back, that's dumb to lose good customers over a bake potato,
Review Source:This is my neighborhood bar and I love it. Â GREAT Pub Pizza, it's just loaded with toppings. Â Very, very good. Â They also have recently redone their menu with a new cook (about 3 months ago), and I'm telling you, the food is really awesome. Â Way above board for a little pub. Â The Kicking Shrimp appetizer is amazing!!! Â I really like the Dragon Burger with peanut butter and jalapenos. Â (Don't knock it until you tried it!) Â And they now have the Ultimate Burger...a bacon double cheeseburger DEEP FRIED! Â It's a two person burger, and it's pretty tasty. Â Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. Â Very friendly place, owners Ron and Tamey Adams are onsite many weekend nights. Â Just my kind of place!
Review Source:I was getting acclimated to the area when my roommate suggested we check out this place. Â She had mentioned it was in the old post office building, which I had imagined being a bit more Norman Rockwell but it looked more like a pole barn from the outside. Â Inside however, the interior was interesting with a large A-framed ceiling with strategically placed soundproof tiles and a large mural of the nearby Indiana Downs horse track. Â Television sets dotted the room with different channels ranging from sports (mostly) to news and alt/country playing on the loudspeakers. Â Nothing shocking.
The menu had some pretty good selections and I opted for the sirloin with potato and a side of asparagus. Â My roommate decided to have the tenderloin. Â We decided to have a beer while waiting for our 'om-noms' to arrive and I was a bit disappointed to find out they didn't have taps. I thought that was a qualification for being called a 'pub' but hey, beer is beer and bottles were brought to us fast and cold.
The salad bar was small, hard to get to and not a lot to look at. Â My steak was cooked nicely, wasn't over seasoned and was mighty tasty. Â (I'm a stickler about my steaks - sorry vegan friends.) Â The potato didn't make the mental Rolodex but the asparagus got a thumbs down. Â It was overcooked and slimy with oil and indistinguishable spices. Â I made a mental note: "don't order asparagus at a pub." Â Odds are no one out here orders it and it most likely stews all day. My roommate's tenderloin was the size of her head and the bun was really fresh. Â We both ate off that thing for two days - well worth it! Â I am happy to report that everything we ordered arrived hot and with a smile. Â I think I'll just try a different side next time.
A couple seated next to us had ordered one of the pub pizzas and we hovered over shoulders to investigate this impressive pie. Â Imagine two quiches stacked on top of each other and covered in cheese. Â Easy to guess what our next purchase was! Â They don't offer delivery but these pies are worth getting excited about picking up. Â The first pie was easily 8 + pounds of cheese and toppings - they do a 10" at $10.95 and a 16" at $16.95 and that includes any and all toppings they have! Â If you're out this way, you have to order one (with extra sauce is best). Â Just remember, it's big enough! Â You don't need no stinkin' bread sticks.
