Ruby Tuesday

Go someplace else instead! It was outdated. It was over priced. It was not great tasting food.  It was convenient right off the highway that was why we stopped.  I believe, that is why they get any business whatsoever.

We've always wanted to try Ruby Tuesday, but this was the wrong one to try! The server was pleasant but didn't know the answer to our questions about the menu (but she might have been new). My husband and I ordered burgers and we were told they each came with two sides, so we chose our sides.  A few minutes later the server came out and said that we only get one side and that two sides with the meal were only available after 3 p.m. I joked that at least it was cheaper and she said it was the same price.  After she left the table I looked at my watch and it was 2:55 p.m. Can they really not make an exception of 5 minutes, especially when our food didn't come until about 30 minutes after we ordered?  

My son ordered the kids' Cajun Fried Shrimp. It came out about 10 minutes before the rest of the food and the shrimp was overcooked (almost burnt). My son asked for tartar sauce and it took another 10 minutes since the kitchen staff had to "make" some.  It was gross! We didn't use it.

My husband's Smokehouse Burger, ordered to be cooked "medium,"came out well done.  The "onion rings" that were supposed to be on the burger was one tiny onion ring that was about 1" in diameter.  It looked like a joke (remember those "where's the beef" commercials?...it felt like "where's the onion ring"). The mashed potatoes, while they tasted good, looked old. He had also ordered no pickles and he got pickles.  My Triple Prime BACON Cheddar Burger also came without any bacon and it took me several minutes until the server returned to be able to send it back.

I think the worst thing about the amount of time it took to get our food, was that there were only about 3-4 other parties in the whole restaurant.  What are all of those employees doing back in the kitchen? From the slow delivery of our food, to the tiny onion ring that came on the open-faced burger on the plate, everything we experienced said to us, "we really don't care if you have good food or a good experience at our restaurant."

We will not EVER return to this location!

A few weeks ago we came to this Ruby's service was ehh ok nothing special food was good though and I didn't use the restroom and since the food was good service not horrid I decided to take my in laws visiting from out of state out for dinner and all I can say is embarrassing as I hang my head down in shame. 1. said 20-30 min wait turned into 45min wait ok I can deal with that. 2. Took forever for server to bring our drinks. 3. Restrooms poop in toilets fly's everywhere like it was there breading ground, no soap no paper towels had to wipe my hands on pants. 4. They brought the kids meal out first which I normally don't complain about as I am assuming my food will be arriving shortly but 10 min for mine and my husband  min later my husbands grandparents than 5min after that my mother in law got her food than 10 min after that my older son and father in law got their food. 5. When they brought my father in laws food they forgot his side of mac & cheese so now had to wait for that and drink refills. 6. They don't have teaspoons only big serving spoons like huge so you have to bring your own from home if you have kids like toddlers to eat mac & cheese. Our food was good but wasn't worth the long wait and not being able to eat all together the purpose of all going out to a sit down place is to eat and enjoy time together etc. and I'd like to wash my hands and not to attacked by flies in the process. So I'd advise anybody to keep driving on by there are lots of places in Lexington you can go to.
