My friend and I decided to go for a drive to see what we could see, and we ended up here.
We didn't get the looks, that said "What the hell are you doing in our town?!" Everyone seemed very nice. The bartender was a sweetie, I ordered a Bud Light, and my friend ordered a UV & Red Bull, and the bartender was sweet enough to ask if she wanted it with regular or sugar-free Red Bull. I have hardly ever seen her asked that.
I didn't see the Wii, but I did see the "ice bar" in the middle of the room. It was a cool (hah, a pun) place to set your drinks to keep them cold, and also entertainment because you can write in the frost that builds up on top. The beer garden was pretty nice, it had horseshoes and a smoker (sad to say I missed that, wish I knew when they cooked with it), and very clean tables.
The bathroom was small, but also very clean.
The only bad thing that happened was a couple guys came up to us at the ice bar and showed us the ticks one of them had knock off himself, and it froze to death. Ha! Gross! But very interesting local color.
The drive's a little far, but I think I may definitely come back to this place.
Who'd expect to fund a bar with a Nintendo Wii in it in the little town of Yutan? Â My family is in Yutan so I got to spend a night out on in the "big city." Â The town is VERY small, so if you're a newcomer walking into the bar, you do get a lot of looks. Â Not in a bad way though, just people wondering who you are, where you came from, and what you drink. Â
They've got good beer available and like I said, a Wii so you can play bowling. Â The employees, owner, and customers are all fun to be around.
