Stopped on a Friday night probably about 7pm in middle of May. Â Only about 3 other tables were occupied which struck me as odd on a Friday night. Â Ordered the deep fried walleye and a baked potato. Â Food was excellent as it usually is when I go here. Â Restaurant is nothing fancy...just a typical sports bar with a dining area, but have never been disappointed with the food. Â When I went on a Friday night, there was a special Friday menu which consisted of several different fish fry options including perch, walleye and an all you can eat fish fry which if I remember correctly was halibut. Â There were also a few steak options and a couple other things as well. Â Definintely would recommend giving it a try.
Review Source:We have eaten at S.A. Loons many times. Â It is not fancy but a basic Wisconsin home-cooked menu. Â
I love their under $6 hamburgers, but need to STRESS that I want medium/medium rare. Â Their Friday night fish fries is also one of my favorites. Â Their salad bar is small but fresh and clean. Their steaks have good flavor. I would probably avoid the times the bar is packed, the tourist and staff can all be stressed.
