I love this place. Great coffee, tasty treats, art and the staff are always nice and friendly. They even remember my exact order every time I come in (until I change it to something new of course. lol). They also have specialty coffee creations they make every month. So grateful to have this place in my neighborhood!!!
Review Source:Super adorable and quirky little cafe. It'd definitely fit in with restaurants and stores found in Old Towne Orange.
I've so far tried their chai tea, cheese danish, and bagel with nutella. I'm craving more of a spicy, full bodied chai tea but the one at Sagebrush is a good start at quenching my chai craving.
The service was nice. You need a key for the bathroom. The place is tiny with limited seating in the shade. Not a problem in the winter when one wants to bask in the sun, but I could see it being annoying during the summer sweltering heat. Parked near the back in a dirt lot.
I stopped in here for some non-Starbucks espresso on a visit to the AV, and was really pleasantly surprised. In an area with, as far as I can tell, almost nothing but chains, Sagebrush is a charming little place with character. The latte I had was great, the staff was nice, the place was clean. The only thing wanting is a couple of comfy chairs to sit on while I read.
Review Source:Heard some good things about this place... I heard right. Â I'm a tea hound. Â I love tea. Â Coffee can stuff it... frou frou drinks can stuff it, too. Â For me - this place excels in tea selection AND in service. Â Numi - one of the holy grails of tea is abundant at Sagebrush. Â And THAT makes me happy. Â Service was incredibly delightful, chatty, polite, and engaging. Â Also makes me happy. Â Hubs ordered a caramel apple cider and was delightfully surprised at how much he enjoyed it. Â I'm sure he'll be back for regular coffee - that's his usual M.O. Â The vibe here is great. Â Extremely comfortable. Â The landscaping is well done. Â I really enjoy the art display showcasing a local artist. Â Also very well done. Â Of course it is nowhere near where I live or venture out normally... now I'll have to make a conscious effort for special trips to get over here. Â But they'll most certainly be worth it.
Review Source:Love this place. Very friendly service, local artists represented, good coice in music and let's not forget the amazing coffee and tea! Great choices of what to serve and I'm happy that they didn't give into the "blended trend". Awesome selection of pastries too.
A good place to hang out with Free WiFi and a nice patio to sit out and enjoy the weather.
Will most definitely frequent this place whenever I am in the A.V. :) Quartz Hill needs more local places like this.
A great little spot with a cool vibe and nice owners. I really should go here more often, and I think the only reason I don't is that it's a teeny bit expensive (for me) and I'm trying to save money. The quality of the drinks, food, and service really is high, though, and worth the money.
There's always interesting original art on the walls, and lots of seating both indoors and out.
I'm so glad that a place like this exists in my area.
I vow to go more often and give them the support they deserve!
I like local coffee shops. I've heard that this place makes good coffee since I was in the area and wanted something warm in this cold afternoon. I asked them what's good and they suggested I start off with a cafe mocha. So I did that with some light whip and a small drizzle of chocolate syrup. Oh boy it was one tasty coffee indeed. A little sweet but wow. I had some macadamia cookie to go with it. But the cookie was just average. They are friendly and fast. I like the ambience and location. So I'll be back. So instead of going to starbucks I'll go here instead. We have to support out local businesses. Free Wifi which is great. Nice place to hang out and enjoy good coffee....
Review Source:I loved my local coffee shop in Kansas City called the Roasterie. So when this place popped up in QH, I was excited to check it out. Yet when i walked in the door I was disappointed. No nice hello, no how are you...nothing. Maybe I came on a bad day, I don't know. Whatever it was, it makes it hard for me to want to come back. I got a drip coffee and it was very tasty. They put the cream in it for me, but I wish they let me do it myself because I would have added a little more.
Review Source:It's nice to have  a local coffeehouse that isn't part of the mega corporations. Good vibe and nice patio seating.
I remember when this place used to be a barber shop. Nice local artwork adorns the walls. Â And FREE WIFI.
It's a nice addition to the local businesses in Quartz Hill.
I did feel a little weird leaving a tip for one of the partners that was also a barista.
Apparently this Cafe was in the works for a long time, I felt like it just popped up though.
My wife and I try and go in at least once a week, we aren't big coffee drinkers but we love the atmosphere and the employees/owners are very friendly. Every time I've been in there I've been told to feel free to ask for more of whatever is in my drink to fit my taste, they definitely aim to please.
FINALLY! Â Good espresso within one mile of my house!!! Â I've been there three times this week already!
The good:
- great espresso drinks
- beautifully done space - clean and modern, but still very welcoming. Â The patio is beautiful, and I can't wait for the mornings to be warmer so I can relax outside. Â
- great staff (or is it the owner?) Â I haven't gotten a formal introduction yet.
- local baked goods look really yummy - I've only had a bagel, but it was good.
- they open at 6 am! Â And they are open at night.
- art matters there
- feels like a community
- lots of parking
- it's not Starbucks!!
The not so good:
No longer exists. Â The iced coffee situation has been remedied! Â
I hope the AV supports this local business and moves past their Starbucks/Coffee Bean dependance. Â Support local businesses!!
Edit: April 29, 2009 - They now have iced coffee!!!!  And I have tried the butter croissant, filled croissants and many different muffins, and all were  yummy.  I WILL NOT, however, tell you which is my favorite because I don't want them to be gone when I go in.  :)
