Myself and 2 others ate at this Sagebrush location on 6/28/13 at 4:00pm, talk about a mistake. My dad and I both ordered the 10 oz Ribeye mid rare. The steaks arrived and I found my mid rare to be mid and it appeared most of the cooking took place on 1 side. Both steaks were tough and not very pleasant tasting, I should have known things were not going to go well when we 1st sat down to a booth that had a sticky feel to the top. The server said it was because the top needed refinished and they just haven't bothered to get around to it, sounds like a restaurant which will be out of business soon.
When the steak arrived and we found it to be nasty I told the server who offered to get me another, I elected to not get another steak because I didn't think they could pull off a good one due to the low quality of beef they are working with. I would eat a gas station sandwich before I would ever eat at this Sagebrush location again.
Traveling & stayed at the hotel next door, we came for dinner on a Monday night.
We both had the Filet Steak, very tender and good quality, if not quite hot, but warmer than lukewarm also. Â Just a bit warmer than mouth temperature. Cooked properly.
Baked potato & Sweet Potato casserole were piping hot. Â SP Casserole had strong clove taste that day so if you don't like cloves don't order it.
Caesar salads seemed closer to room temperature than cold/fresh lettuce should be.
Fried Pickle appetizer was too hot to eat!
Waitress was fine. Â Nothing bad, nothing outstanding.
Wooden Table was sticky. Â Waitress said it is because the finish has worn off of them.
I'm not so sure about whether the table got cleaned well, as there seemed to be bread crumbs between all the on-table items (condiments etc).
Old building, not pretty. Â Don't look on the roof! Â Not sure what the apparently multiple attempts at fixing/sealing/whatever is up there were.
Summary: Â Agree with most reviewers.
Great steak meat, but needs to be served hotter.
Salad needs to be cold.
Infrastructure needs improving.
