They never seem to be able to get it right in the service area. Each visit finds a different type of service, it is either too fast or too slow, even with directions from the customer they don't get it right. Â The food is middle of the road to good, but you shouldn't be served your salad when you haven't finished half of your appetizer. Â Cocktails are always very slow to come. Â With the amount of waitstaff milling around and making lots of noise you would just expect the service to be better Serving one guest their entree at a time, with several minutes in between in NEVER suppose to happen, and seems to be a standard here. So, the first served eats cold food because they wait for the rest of the party to be served. Just OK food, really bad service consistently.
Review Source:strictly from a pizza standpoint, some of the worst ever. Thick tasteless cardboard like crust, an overabundance of oregano in the sauce and disgustingly greasy. even when you ask for the 'hand tossed' San Remo style pizza, it's still so greasy, you need  several layers of paper towels to mop off the grease. Vile!
Review Source:Woodbury and Italian food are not synonymous by any means, as evidenced by the family with three tractors that pulled into the restaurant parking lot while we were eating. Â Nonetheless, viewing this scene while dining was charming and very "Woodbury-esque". Â
As for the restaurant, we visited on a Thursday and were not disappointed by a friendly, informative waitstaff, large restaurant with outdoor patio serving large portions. Â I took a bite of a special chicken dish with sundried tomato and artichokes in a light cream sauce, which was much more exciting than my linguine with clams. Â The sauce was a bit complex for my taste, but the portion was topped with both shelled clams and a generous amount of chopped clams. Â While this is not the best Italian restaurant I have been to, it certainly didn't leave me with any big complaints.
My family visited on two successive Thursdays and enjoyed both visits. Â This restaurant was recently purchased by the former owners of Jordan's II in Southbury and is marked by the same friendliness. Â The mother of the family came out to greet us and introduced us to her new grandchild. Â The waiter (same one both visits) remembered us and was superb. Â Of course, the food was tasty, as well, and very reasonably priced. Â I had mussels that were quite tender. Â Mom had eggplant parm that made great leftovers. Â Dad had stuffed sole both times. Â It's a nicer location than the one in Southbury - still has a bar area and now has a lovely patio to enjoy gorgeous sunsets.
