I don't know if there's some kind of "standard" for helping people who sit around the bar, but if there is this place is certainly below the bar.
It took forever just to get a beer... probably because the ladies working the bar were too used to serving their regulars. I get it, everyone's going to have regulars, but you can't have new regulars if you don't serve them in the first place. It's bad for business.
Anyways, there's plenty of pool tables if you play, and I think they had a couple of leagues that were about to start while we were there. I would not recommend eat ing here, though. The food took long and was terrible. I'm not even sure sending it back would make it any better. I mean, how do you mess up a sandwich and fries?
Even when I was ready to go it took me 25 minutes just to get my check and pay. If it wasn't for the honors system (and that I had to pay with my credit card) I would have simply left. I know they didn't get a tip, that's for sure. Poor service doesn't deserve rewards. I'm sure the 'regulars' handled them, anyways.
What a disappointment. Â Went after a football game, place was practically empty yet had several bar people to wait on you and that's exactly what we did WAIT and WAIT and WAIT. Â It was like we were sitting there invisible! Â And we were sitting right up at the bar! Â Once we finally placed a food order, that was disappointing too! Â I ordered a steak sub with French fries. When it came out the French fries were ice cold, I had to send those back. The sub was chintzy, with very little meat and lettuce, etc. Â The fries came back hot but dark and hard, that's because we were told all they did was re-fry them in the oil! Â We were left with empty drinks and no one to refill them. Â Every time we tried to summons a barmaid, we were ignored! Â They kept walking by fast and didn't hear us saying "excuse me" several times in an effort to get a drink refill. Â I doubt that we will ever go there again unless they improve. Â I intend on calling the manager about this for sure.
