Sandbar

As a local I recognize that this is a dive bar but they have the best halibut in town hands down.  For years this has been the go to place for the halibut!  

Who cares about what the place looks like, go here to get your grub on.  Me and friends make it a point to go as a group.  We have a great meal, tasty beer and thoroughly enjoy our time visting.  There are pool tables, shuffle board and a few other games making this a gem among dive bars.

Not very clean, needs to be updated. Nice people though.

If you're looking for fish and chips in Juneau, this is the place to go.  Anywhere in town, the price for fish and chips will make you cringe ($15-20), but Sandbar is the only place I'm happy to spend it, because it is delicious.  

It isn't in the most convenient of locations, and is a little bit seedy...but that adds to the charm, right?
