I've been twice since the new owners purchased & quality has gone straight down. They don't even have a wine list. Not having a list obliges the customer to take recommendations from the servers who know absolutely nothing about wine. The server made terrible recommendations for all of the 4 glasses I drank on the combined two visits... clearly the owners don't seem to know much about wine either.
I won't try for a third time.
Great selection of beer and wine. Â The staff is very helpful and enthusiastic about pairing you up with booze that matches your taste preferences.
The interior of the bar is bare with exposed pipe and plain wooden wine shelves along the walls. Â It is a welcoming, casual environment that pleasantly surprised me. Â I was expecting an overbearing Lake Mary prefab setting full of aging hipsters that hadn't found themselves yet, but this is a nice place that attracts a cool, mellow crowd. Â
The outdoor patio is plain but dressed up just enough so that is has a subtle charm.
My only beef is the live music. Â I swear a solo guitarist/singer never met a PA system that he could actually control. Â The vocals are set way too high for the live singers, so what should be an intimate 1 man/woman show becomes a conversational impediment. Â And sometimes, just sometimes, the live act is kind of really bad. Â Like karaoke with your boss and too many mai tai's on his expense account tab bad. Â On two separate occasions I have turned back and decided not to go into the Sanford Win Company on account of the way to loud bad performer assaulting the microphone inside.
This is a great place to hang out and sample excellent beer and wine provided the entertainment isn't trying to make your head explode.
Great place! Â Ken and Debra are great hosts - they make you feel like you're a house-guest rather than a customer. Â Add Frances' special greeting for regulars, and you don't want to leave - they're all really nice people and make you feel more than welcome. Â Good selection of wines and beer - and did I mention Frances and her hugs?
