I absolutely Love this place! The new owners are awesome and the prices are just right. Walked in and was greeted by friendly people and prompt service. You will love this place too if you love Music.. Art.. And Drinking! Personally that is the winning combination to fun! Try it out and you will be going back for more. Check in on Facebook and they will give you a free jello shot. Who doesn't love free jello shots?

I was at the Twisted Vine this past Saturday to see my friend play some acoustic guitar and sing on the establishment's indoor stage area. I never had been to the Twisted Vine prior to this, but the experience here on Sat. night was more than enough to get me to return in the future.

I don't know this area very well, but the bar appears to be situated in a rather serene  and hip part of Sanford. Within walking distance of other bars and restaurants (Willow Tree, among others), Twisted Vine reminded me a lot of several other places I really like. I was reminded of such places as The Falcon (Thornton Park), Downtown Credo Coffee (College Park), The Peacock Room, Pom Pom's and White Wolf. Twisted Vine offers the same sort of feel and, to me, is somewhat of a combination of the best assets of the aforementioned businesses. The inside is clean and fancy and should appeal to young and artistic types, as well as the more laid-back. There is a modest beer selection; I saw a few I'd never before tried, though I didn't try any of them when I was here. I instead opted to have two glasses of red wine, one of which was a Cabernet and the other being a Merlot (I think?). Both were tasty and appropriately served. The owner (I'm assuming), Frances, was very personable and kind.

The inside of Twisted Vine is very cozy. Its walls are lined with purchasable artwork created by at least a few local artists. This reminded me very much of the aforementioned businesses, although the artwork available at Twisted Vine appeared to be more affordable than at those other businesses ... and of at least the same quality/diversity. As I sat at the inside bar and watched my friend do his thing, a few people sat at the bar and watched as well. Frances was very warm with them. Everyone was quiet, with at least two of the customers being a couple and just spending some relaxing time together. This definitely is a more laid-back and "chill" place - it's not a typical bar. There are some along the same street, I'm sure, but this isn't one. There is a small outdoor seating area out front, though I didn't sit there at all. For my two glasses of wine, I believe the total was $10. I found this to be very reasonable.

When my friend wasn't playing music, Frances had some really cool-sounding music on. A lot of it seemed to be "indie"-ish, which I like a lot. I wish I knew what some of it was as the songs that I didn't know were very catchy.

I definitely hope to come back at some point, even if it only is to see my friend play music again. This part of Sanford isn't exactly next-door to me, so it's a bit of a drive, but I think that it'd be worth stopping by here on occasion as the first experience here definitely made an excellent impression.

This is a great wine bar in Sanford! With the unfortunate closing of another wine bar, my boyfriend and I were looking for another one close by. Thanks to the Cor.kz app, we found The Twisted Vine, and are very happy that we did!

The owner, Michael, and his coworkers, Francis and Joseph, are very friendly and polite. There is a wonderful selection of wine and different, but great, beers. They also have a selection of yummy appetizers!

Please visit The Twisted Vine, it is a fun place to relax and have an excellent night out!
