Schooner's of Morton

Great place to go for good 'ol comfort food. Wins are huge. BEST onion rings in town!!!

My family has eaten here for many years now.  Great place with friendly staff and good pub fare.  Over the years I've probably had the whole menu, but I usually do the Grilled Pork Chop and Fries (steak fries, which taste amazing) or Buffalo Wings.  But you have to try the tenderloin.  It's like the size of a pizza.

This place gets 5 stars for several reasons. The first being that I am friends with the owners and grew up with their daughters. Extremely friendly people. The crowd is mixed, but definitely small town. There is a large room for the bar and a large dining room, plus a room in the back that can be rented out for parties. The second reason it gets 5 stars is that the food is pretty much all fried... pub food. There are some stand outs. The Gebby's beer batter fried chicken is AMAZING. Then there is the famous Schooner's Tenderloin. It is GINORMOUS. I'm talking cover your entire plate big. They put a bun on top of it and it is just comical. Sinful and worth every bite.
