Excellent food, helpful staff, beautiful intimate, room, with only
Eight tables.  I had veal saltibucca and husband had pasta with sausage
And mushrooms.  We were both very pleased with our choices. Desserts were also great.  Would definitely go back! It was very snowy night out, and we weren't dressed up. We felt very comfortable.

Excellent food!!! We had arugula fritte; shrimp; snails and linguine with clam sauce. Dessert was great and at the end of the night the owner came out and greeted the table

It is a very small place (with a reflective metal ceiling) with a friendly enough staff. The menu is very small, with about five pastas and eight other entrees.  We got the veal with crimini mushrooms and Gorgonzola, wrapped codfish and as an appetizer a split order of pasta Bolognese. Each was fine, but unexceptional.

This place is outstanding!  We'd been here a few years ago, and returned last night with friends.  The salad organica and the mozarella were excellent.  The Vitello Gorgonzola and the tagliatelle were great too.  We opted against the desserts, but the cappuccino was a good way to finish a superb dining experience.  The service was attentive and the chef came out to greet us-- nice touch.  The restaurant is small (only 8 tables), but it's very nice.

Another great meal at Sette Cucina last night.  Joined business associates here for dinner prior to our meetings today.  Given the relatively large group, we elected a prixe fixe style sampler with a choice of entrees.

The appetizer, consisting of Tomato, Mozzarella, Prosciutto and Olives, was nice.  Next came the cheese tortellini which was very good and sized right for the second course.  For the main course we had a choice of Cod or Pork.  Since it was Ash Wednesday, I went with the Cod.  It was wonderful.  Perfectly cooked and very flavorful, accompanied by cabbage and quartered red potatoes.  Ask my wife, I don't eat cabbage, but this cabbage was great.  Desert consisted of chocolate covered cream puffs.  We followed that with biscotti and a decaf coffee.

We were a fairly boisterous group, but given the late hour, we had the place to ourselves.  And although we were there well past closing, Alan was gracious as usual, not rushing us out.  My colleagues raved about the food and the ambiance, two things I have begun to take for granted.

While I am not a big fan of business travel, I look forward to the opportunities to come back to NJ if for no other reason to visit number 7.

A tiny Italian BYO featuring quality preparations from fresh seasonal ingredients. Service can lag when the tiny kitchen gets busy, but the offerings usually justify the wait.

I travel to Italy a lot and this was the most authentic Italian I've had in the metro area.  At the end of the meal the chef came out to ask us how we enjoyed our meal.  A wonderful experience.
