Seven

Great service, stuffed mushrooms were really good and cheesy.  Clam chowder was pretty tasty, filet was a little disappointing for $25.  Kind of fatty and undercooked.  I didn't complain, as its not my style.  Really enjoyed the dessert banana foster cheesecake.  Wife had the scallops, liked them both we did (in yoda voice).

Nice atmosphere

My husband and I went there tonight hoping to enjoy our date night. We love supporting local businesses and were hoping to have another favorite restaurant in town. The decor is nice and we were greeted promptly. Our server was very nice and came to our table almost immediately. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and what was in each dish. We were very disappointed to learn that they use imitation crab in their appetizer and all their seafood is frozen. Frozen and imitation seafood for the prices they request was ridiculous. We decided to leave as we did not see the point in spending the prices they wanted for imitation and frozen food.

I'll start this off by admitting that I may have high expectations when it comes to dining. However, I was not impressed with the menu at Seven.  It is a small menu, and a bit overpriced.  The chicken strips on the kids' menu are frozen and no better than the kind you can get in your grocer's freezer section.  The garlic green beans were rubbery and nothing special.  I had a Reuben sandwich and was disappointed to get a pile of very dry and overly salty meat. The fries that they handcut were a little chewy (kudos on the effort, though).  We declined on the desert when they brought a tray out for us to look at, but anyone can see that it was all items previously frozen.

The service, however, was excellent.  I don't remember our server's name, but she was attentive and my diet coke never got more than half empty before I got a refill. She was very kind, and knowledgeable about the menu and served with the proper techniques of a fine dining establishment.  Also, the decor was well done and inviting.
