Really love this place's food; always order a veggie burger without the bun, and it's always perfect! Of course, my husband always orders a big burger and dessert, and loves it! Mud pie is his fave. We always hit this place up for happy hour. $2.50 select drafts, and $9 pitchers after 6pm. Sometimes, service is slow as it is a seat yourself policy, but the wait staff is always friendly and amicable. If you're looking for a cheap happy hour and good food, this is the place

I never really been to The Shack just to eat. I mainly went to the one in Waikiki to get drunk and dance but I was in the area so what the heck. To my surprise this place was pretty spacious and there were a lot of tables. I guess this one's more of a place to eat and drink than to "go out".

The menu was more extensive than Waikiki's and the prices were pretty average. I got the crispy chicken sandwich (about $8) with fries $3.50. The sandwich was okay. It always bugs me when the meat is way smaller than the bun so I was a little pissed. The fries were kind of on the salty side but I was so hungry I just kept eating them.

Didn't really stay for the "club" hours but it just didn't have the right vibe for me.

Oh and the bathroom was fricken filthy. I mean yeah bar bathrooms aren't always the cleanest but even the ones in Waikiki were cleaner than these ones like ugh so gross. There was nothing that would bring me back there.

This place reminds me of the Barefoot Lodge in LA. Tree trunk decor and an overall low-key vibe. Stellar happy hour specials. $2.50 for beer and wine, which is incredible. Try the nachos!

The Shack isn't always my first choice, but if you're looking for a quick lunch they've got fast, friendly service. They even asked us if we wanted separate checks - no stink eye included!

My tuna melt was pretty much delish - cheddar on flavorful tuna salad with pickle slices for some added zing. If you get a side of fries, be prepared to find yourself with a massive basket with plenty to share! Also, they make their own chunky bleu cheese salad dressing - some of the best I've had.

It is what it is. No fluff - drinks, bar food, tvs for sports and bar games (pool, video games, etc). Servers are attentive esp during slow times. Try the calamari...you can actually taste the squid and not just batter.

Their food is a bit over price for what you get. Service can be slow and hectic when their busy. It's one of the few bars to hangout in mililani so towards the night it can get packed, or on game days. Most Saturday nights they have a cover charge.

Apps: their mozzarella sticks are good, as well as their buffalo wings. Their curly fries are amazing, so if you like chili and cheese fries this is the best thing especially for the size.

Burgers: if you love chili, their chili burger is sloppy but awesome. If you love Swiss and mushrooms their shroom burger is good. Other than that their other burgers are average bar burgers. Unfortunately their burgers don't come with fries, but their curly fries are some of the best so it's definitely worth adding to your meal though it makes it a bit expensive.

Drinks: you can never go wrong with beer, though their draft beer sometimes taste warm, but seems to be a common thing on the island. Their specialty drinks are a waste of money, and their wells taste like something you could have done yourself st home. All their drinks can be pricey, but they have happy hour between 4-6pm most days, and different drink specials each day. If your looking for a shot "liquid cocaine" is the best, it's not too strong but it isn't to sweet, it's a great balance. You don't come here for amazing drinks or prices, it's more for the environment.

The Shack is almost always going to be busy. It's the closest bar and restaurant to Schofield Barracks other than Kemoo Farms, so it's packed with soldiers every weekend.

The food is hit and miss: I've both enjoyed and hated the same menu item ordered on different days (in particular a bleu cheese burger, which was perfect one day and over-loaded with bleu cheese the next time I ordered). Their wings, however, are pretty good.

Love this joint - hit it every time I visit my friend in HI - this is just a great, open air joint and they are always friendly. Food is typical bar food, but it is really good.

Very, very relaxing!

Went there with my buddies a few weeks ago. Service was alright then the shift change came and we were left hanging for awhile. Lo and behold, a pretty waitress with tats on her shoulders (she was pretty hot and yes I know I'm being biased) came an helped us...Christina I think was her name (recommend asking for her if you go). She apologized right away for delay. She explained all food menu options and specials of the day and even washed pitchers for us (bar was running out) so we could get our beer! Everything was going GREAT till ANOTHER waitress came in and we had to switch to her.

Beer was great and selection was pretty significant. I think hottie said 14 or 16 taps of cold brews! Now...if your a beer drinker in paradise your lucky if you go to a bar with even 2 taps let along 14/16. As for food...Meh...it was pricey but good (bar food). Just wish we ket our other waitress. New one seemed like she was high as s@$? And kept forgetting our orders than got pissy when we gave her 18 %.

Place is pretty hit or miss as far as service goes but what man in his right mind could. pass up that many taps?!

The Shack Mililani, which used to be Chuck's Steakhouse....Environment at times nice and mellow....Other times wild and loud, never really came here to just have lunch or dinner, most times it was to have drinks, kick back and relax...

Service was okay most of the time, then there's times when it takes forever...But if its a real busy night, I cut em some slack...Then again it depends on how good they look....LOL....Just kidding.....

All of the food that we ordered had been pretty good, then again I really dont eat alot when I'm drowning myself in great tasting alcohol, most of the time we order simple, quick stuff, so not to much waiting time.....

Whenever there's a big game or fight, this place is crankin.....The interior is loaded with a good amount of big screen t.v.'s, so I'm pretty sure you can catch that spectaculor event from any seat in the house...Providing your not sitting behind someone with a big boogie wig, then you will need to relocate...LOL

Parking is pretty much at your on risk.....I like parking on the street side in front of the restaurant, but everyone else has the same idea, so good luck...The shopping center parking lot is pretty much wide open after all the shop's shut down for the night....But parking is snug tight and I hate the thought of a drunk person backing out or reversing next to my car, so I aim for the street.......

Great place to relax and down a few cold one's......Never tried the dinner menu, but the appetizers were pretty darn good...

Restroom's .....Well as the night goes on......Guy's start aiming the wrong way, it gets kinda messy in there...So if you gotta number 2, it's good to live right down the road, so you can make it back before your drink gets warm

On selected weekends they have live local music, if your lucky enough to get a seat.....But I think the interior is to stuffy, its better to get a seat farthest from the stage, cause depending on who's entertaining and if they have a high pitch voice it can get a little uncomfortable to the ears....

I'm not a regular here, but I do stop by every once and a while, and I will be stopping by again in the future....You can count on it......

I've been to the Shack in Mililani several times before... and I've never had anything to complain about. The staff has always been nice and service was prompt. Drinks weren't watered down and the food was good... well, almost any pupus are good when you're buzzin. :)

My BF, sis, and bro in law went to the Shack to have a few drinks on New Years Eve. We went during happy hour... mixed drinks were only $2.50. DEAL!!! My sis and bro in law had screwdrivers... and I had my fave... a washington apple.

Cheers to seeing my sister after 12 long years!

We ordered a couple items to munch on. The curly fries were good but nothing special or out of the ordinary. It was served with ranch dressing (by request) $5

http://www.yelp.com/user…

We also ordered the fried "zuks" which is fried zucchini. $9. This was pretty damn delicious! Long strips of zucchini in a thin batter deep fried and covered with parmesan cheese and ranch dressing. Our waitress said this was the most popular appetizer. I can see why!

http://www.yelp.com/user…

We only stayed for a few hours... then went home to finish cooking and of course to pop fireworks with the kids. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly. The food came out quickly and was made to order. Our drinks were replenished in a timely fashion and had just enough booze. :)

No complaints!

The only dive bar in town and it sucks. They have live music but no one knows when they are playing. Bar food is horrible. Only place to go catch the UFC fights. This place makes me excited about going to the mainland. If you can avoid this place do it.

I love going to the Shack for the wings. Their burgers are also reasonably priced too. Pairing it with their curly fries makes for a good meal.

You can almost always find drink specials too. I was just there on Saturday and they had $3.50 bloody marys and screw drivers. Not bad, although the drinks were poured a little light.

Seating is open; first come, first served, seat yourself. The service can be hit or miss depending on where you're sitting (who's section you're in) and who's working that day. Servers usually like to close you out (to get their tips) if their shift ends in the middle of your meal. This has happened more than once. Management should just let them finish out their tables so customers receive continuous service.

Noise level is also hit or miss. It's definitely loud if you're there on a crowded day. You might even get front row seats to a fight if you're lucky. Other days can be mellow though, which is my preference. The restaurant is open air if you sit around the perimeter.

Note: Only the Shack Mililani has nachos (bomb!). Was disappointed the Shack Kailua didn't have. Not sure about the Hawaii Kai one.

Good little place to grab a burger and a beer with friends. I was surprised at the variety of beer and cocktails that they had -- way more than just Coors Light and Budweiser.

A few notes: The burgers are a good size and a little pricey, but they don't come with fries. If you do order fries, split that curly fried basket of goodness with a friend (you get a lot).

Burgers were hot and tasty, topped with yummy things like mushrooms and cheese and avocado. They have more options on their menu, but I've been told the burgers are the only thing to get because they're so good.

If I hadn't just come here on vacay, I would definitely return to watch games or hang out with friends.

I like this place, right down the street from my old house in Mililani, choke parking and I always seem to find a friendly face to talk to.

I tried the Sliders and curly fries and It was delicious. I had a great time watching the game and enjoying their cheap drink specials.

Shack is also a great place for live music and parties, plus they have a good looking staff... that always helps lol.

This is a place that you visit for the atmosphere, not so much the food.
It was expensive as burgers go, and you do not get fries WITH the order. You have to order separately.
There are "inside" and outside places to sit and eat and a waiter will come to you, eventually.

My best thoughts: I liked the bar atmosphere. Very casual. They have pool, darts, and arcade games in the back.

My biggest complaint: The music was SO loud in one of the rooms. It was one of the only rooms able to seat 6 (or so we were told) so we didn't have much choice. We asked her to turn it down as we could BARELY hear each other without yelling....I don't think they even touched it. It made an otherwise pleasant dinner into a stressful one.

Went to "The Shack" in Mililani for a going away get-together last night. It's my second time here in three years, but first time I actually ate the food.
The ambiance is fitting for this type of establishment. An old, rustic, sports bar feel that will remind non-locals of their favorite spot on the mainland. The service is friendly and courteous. No issues in those aspects.

The pricing here is insane. Please allow me to explain.
"The Shack Pupu Platter"
I paid $14.99 and chose the following three items.
- Spring Rolls
- Mozzarella Sticks
- Buffalo Wings
To my absolute shock it was THREE of each.

These things come from a bag! It's bar food! You make the money off your booze not your food you clowns.
Too many other issues with pricing to list.
Despite this, I would still recommend this place. It's homey appeal, fresh beer, and fast courteous service is enough to make you come back.

My make it or break it for a restaraunt in Hawaii is the quality of its Kalbi (If they have it, obviously). Kalbi contributes about 72% of my weekly fat intake. So, let me begin this review by saying, the Kalbi here is the best I've ever had. I used to get the chicken Katsu almost exclusively here, but from now on, the Kalbi is #1 for me.

The service here is great, I donjt know how anyone could ever complain about it. The gals here are super friendly, and pretty cute. They provide a casual atmosphere thats hard to beat. I've never been here foor the evening shows or drinking, whatever, but I can tell you that any lunch day here, is a good day. It fills up pretty quick here with dudes from Schofield Barracks, but I dont think Ive ever seen it get to where there arent any tables available.

To touch back on the service, everything comes smooth. The waitresses come and check on you when theyre supposed to, they keep your glasses filled. I bring this up, because when my self and my table of buddies were leaving today, the waitress had already collected our checks/cash. She came back and made a comment about how she wishede everyone tipped as well as we did. When I asked her what she meant, she told me that most lunch hours, when she waits on the table with soldiers, she says that most of them only tip her and the other waitresses $1-$2. Let me say man, the service here is never that bad. Now granted, your meal is probably going to cost about $12 all told, so $2 would be a traditional tipping norm, but dude, youre in the military, you can afford to pay an extra $2-$3 for excellent service.

Anyways, great service, good prices, great food, ample portions, great atmosphere.

Dropped in for some adult beverages with my cousin in law. So, this review is for the bar only.

First off - service was great, untl the shift change. First server was all over her job. Friendly, chatty but not annoyingly so. The second server, robotic and slow. No emotion. Like she didn't want to be there. Anyway ...

We went to drink and drink we did. In between, I ordered a sampler platter of the chicken wings, jalapeno poppers and onion rings. Greasy bar food. Nothing special. Nothing I'd recommend.

Same with the beer selection. All domestics and all session beers. No craft beers on tap or in bottles. But I'm getting used to that here in Hawaii.

It's an OK hang out place I guess.

I've actually only been here once. They have GREAT drink specials and their food is decent. I'm only giving 3 stars because their bathroom is extremely dirty! It had a moldy smell, there was water all over the ground, the stalls are small, and it was like no one cleaned it all day; this was at 7pm!

The food, on the other hand was pretty good. Although I'm scared to know what the kitchen looks like if the restroom was so dirty. The burgers were really moist and tasty. The nachos were HUGE and really good. We had to ask for more chips since they over did it on the toppings. I rather have this than more chips than toppings.

If they renovate the restroom and keep it clean, then I'll think about going back here again. I don't care how cheap the drinks are, I need a nice place to relieve myself.

THE SHACK MILILANI! I just drop the line and you already know I'm there on a Thursday night for Happy Hour all dam night! haaaaaa. Plus the food is pretty money tooooo* I never really did come here on the other days and when I did I was having a boring non-alcoholic day so I had to come and get my dose. LOL

The staff are cool, typical not really hella friendly not really giving a flying f*ck attitude. haha but when it's crowded like that who really is that nice especially if you have to deal with drunk idiots. LOL They always have bouncers outside so bring and be prepared with your identification people.

They make good drinks strong and the beer is good. There's bathrooms inside. I like how there's and outdoor and indoor seating. Located in the Mililani Shopping Center by the 24 Hour Fitness, Bank of Hawaii, and Foodland. The parking kind of sucks on a busy night but you'll find one or you'll have to walk. The location of this place is perfect because right next to it is McDonalds and across the street is Jack-In-The-Box and on the side of the that is the gas station. What a prime location for drunkies afterwards hahahaha

After the Gym I went looking for a place to eat....

1st place I went to didnt have a bathroom so I walked back out.

The Shack was next door so I thought Id give it a try. Ive been to the one in Hawaii Kai and it was good so, why not.

It was around 11am and it looked like they just opened. The staff was very courteous and said I could sit anywhere. I choose outside on the balcony. Nice.

Thinking about loosing some weight and that I just came from a gym so, I ordered the Grilled fish sandwich with salad. Salad came really fast and the sandwich shortly after. However, I should have choose a dressing for my fish cause it didnt come with anything. No lettuce, no tomato, no mayo, nothing. So, I asked for a side mayo then added salt and pepper. That made it...ok

Over all it was an ok experience and Id probably choose elsewhere next time. I think it would have been much better if I was there to drink and watch a game.

Once again....Staff-very friendly.

2.5 stars.

The Shack is the neighbor sports bar in family oriented Mililani. Due to its proximity to the military bases, you'll find a lot of military personnel here rooting for their home teams. Okay for families if a game is not on. It can get pretty rowdy during game time. It's ironically across the street from a Catholic church, so Sunday morns are quite busy in this neighborhood!

Standard sports bar food reigns - sandwiches, wings, fries....If you are craving a burger other than McD's, this is the place to be. Burgers are primarily under $8. Fries are extra and $3.25 will get you a large basket that can easily be shared.

In my continuing quest for the perfect Patty Melt, I was hopeful that the The Shack would be in the running.....but alas, my quest will continue. I have an inherent problem with sandwiches where the bread is much larger than the burger! The Patty Melt was not bad where bread hit meat, but the excess bread (aka insufficient burger) overshadowed the tasty part.

Wait help was sparse this night - perhaps someone called in sick - as service was pretty slow.

Since this is my neighborhood bar, I tolerate mediocore service and average food. It's not bad, just not great.

2.8 stars.

People from work decided to come here for a farewell sendoff of a co-worker. Place was filled with military folk and about 25% full. We joined four rectangular tables to rudimentary make a larger one for our party of ten.

We all ordered various items and some food looked better than others. The burgers looked good and many in our party said that they were just okay. I decided to order their Chinese Chicken Salad (I know, not their signature item), but what arrived was a huge bowl of romaine and the usual accompaniments. The only impressiveness was its size: 2.5 stars. A couple of people ordered their fish and chips that took awhile (waitress admitted the kitchen was "messed up"; I'd say!) and looked underwhelming as no one mentioned how good they were or how awful: 2.5 stars.

The service was accommodating as she allowed ten separate checks, bless her heart. However, nothing handstand spectacular. Service: 3 stars.

Probably a better place to come for a few drinks or after several (to take the place's edge off) then head on out. I was eying the bar and jonesing for a beer, however I was still on the clock, so I just disappointingly headed back to work. What a waste of an hour.

Tally:
Food: 2.5 stars
Service: 3 stars
2.5+3= 5.5/2= 2.8 stars.

I wish I could give them 0 or negative stars!! Three is WAAAAYYY to high average. Poor quality food AND SERVICE.(Good service can make up lower quality food, but high quality food can't make up for BAD service-UNFORTUNATELY, MY FRIEND, YOU WILL GET NEITHER SERVICE OR QUALITY HERE!!
My friend decided to have a birthday dinner here, bad choice. UGH, YUCK, careful what you order because they really don't seem to care about quality. I ordered their Mahi mahi, which was $14.99, most items are closer to $10, so I expected this to be a decent meal. I have seen softer rice left in a rice warmer on warm for two days...LOL, SERIOUSLY+NO JOKE !! I would be super surprised if it was even cooked that day, it wasn't just one spot..but most of the portion was SUPERDRY AND CRUNCHY.

Mahi wasn't too tasty and Honey Mustard salad dressing had a kick of NASTY as well. Not very sweet, very dark, may be it was left out and rotten like the rice (?IDK?) They have fries and mac salad so I have no idea why the waitress only offered to replace the [Three day old, kept with no lid most the time-nasty] RICE with another SALAD. Another salad when the first Honey Mustard tasted freaking strange....NO THANK YOU!! bleh I went to the waikiki location for drinks and they are super short on the pour, weak sauce all round...

This review is mainly for their Sunday mornings. We have been here the last couple weeks to watch Lions football. They have a ton of TVs all playing football. Sadly, the TVs vary in size so you can get stuck watching a small TV.
They have a pretty good selection of breakfast foods that they serve until 11:00. Last week we got the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast burrito. 3 biscuits and a ton of gravy with big sausage chunks in it. The breakfast burrito was big, but fell apart easily.
All in all, good place to go watch early morning football with loud drunkards at 7am.

Okay, so I need to change my review because I recently used a Groupon for The Shack and I would assume that $40 worth of food would taste better than what my boyfriend and I received.

I guess their cheaper items are their best items, even though they are your basic frozen-then-fried bar foods. Just don't expect their $18.95 full rack of ribs to blow you away, because it won't. It's got a lot of fat and isn't even that tasty. Same with my boyfriend's $14.95 NY strip streak. Fatty and a super small amount of steak for the price. Their curly fries were okay, and same goes for their chicken strips. But like I said before, that's quick and easy bar food, nothing special.

Although this place's interior is pretty cool looking and they have lots of TVs for sports fans, don't expect anything from their food; and for the love of God, stay the heck away from their pricier items. Why would you want to pay more for less?

Boyfriend's sister and her band were playing a gig on a weekend night. It was her birthday.

Her band chipped in to purchase her a humongous birthday cake from Saint-Germain Bakery.

Someone opens the box so we can stick candles on top. HALF OF THE TOP LAYER OF FROSTING IS STUCK TO THE LID!!! INCLUDING THE "HAPPY BIRTHDAY _________" MESSAGE!

One of their incompetent and inept employees had "accidentally" placed something on the cake box at some point during the night. When the cake was picked up earlier from Saint-Germain, all was perfect.

No apology. Just a lame excuse. They ruined a cake that probably cost anywhere $200 - $300+ and made no attempts to rectify the situation.

This is in addition to the food being sub-par, the venue having little to no circulation unless you crack open their rusty windows yourself, and charging a $5 cover fee (without having informed the band earlier).

I'd rather go watch the transvestite prostitutes and batuheads in Chinatown than EVER come here again.

We were in Mililani and hungry. So I checked Yelp for somewhere decent and close. I found The Shack. It was exactly what we were looking for: decent and close.

However, neither the meal, the service, the atmosphere, nor the value was extraordinary in any way. Well... as I think back, one of the waitresses at The Shack was extraordinarily cute... but I digress.

Maybe I should've taken a picture of her instead of my tuna melt. ;-)

"Shackalicious Sundays...." That's what brings us to this local burger joint every Sunday during football season.

All NFL teams are heavily represented, even at 6:30 am, as they kick-off at 7 am. The variety of locals and military, young and seasoned, makes this joint fun and exciting as the crowds gather around the flat screen that THEIR game is on to cheer, yell, smack-talk, play fight songs and even do victory dances.

The waitresses are very accomodating, even in the midst of chaos and excitement, keeping the coffee and beer topped off most of the time. If you are there for the first game, breakfast is hearty, tasty and satisfying. I normally have the chicken fajita omelette or the loco moco. The dishes are big enough to split w/a friend, unless you're a hungry man... then enjoy solo.

If you go for the second game, you'll go into lunch, I recommend the Oriental Chicken Salad ~ also a winning dish!! "Zukes" and Buffalo Wings are perfect to entertain your tastebuds and pick on if you don't want a meal. Prices for both breakfast and lunch are fairly cheap.

We've also been to the Shack, Mililani for fundraisers, UFC events, or just to "chill." A great spot with inexpensive cover fees, good live entertainment, and free parking, without the commute to town.

Here's to the manager, staff and fellow Shack friends.... let the 2010 NFL Season begin!!!

For my birthday, Riana S took me out. We decided to go to the Shack in Mililani because it's closer. It was a Wednesday night, and it was dead. There was hardly anyone in there - except for the older couple playing "find-it" porn edition. The service was really good though, and I like the fact that we can seat ourselves. Our waitress was really nice and helpful. This seems more like a pauhana place than a place to hang out on the weekends. I hear they have $2 sliders on Thursdays.
And good luck with the parking. It's in the shopping center, and everything else is closed for the night....but for some reason i can never find parking.

Went in Friday night after a trip to North Shore, there were 4 of us and we got stuck with a dumb waitress. I don't think she ever told us here name, but she had on a ridiculous peach Bebe halter top. We ordered drinks and she wanted our ID's, my friend and I had ours but hubby didn't so she wouldn't serve him. He had to take his lazy self out to the truck to get his.

We ordered my son a soda and she brought it out in a glass without a lid, she must not have kids, that's a mess wanting to happen. My friend and hubby got Guinness on draft and they both said it was flat.

We ordered an appetizer that did not come out before our meal. We ordered burgers and two of the three were wrong. I asked for bacon on mine, which was an extra charge and did not get it. When she got back around to our table I told her it was not on there so don't charge me for it, I don't want it since I had eaten half of the burger by then. My friend's burger didn't come out with any condiments, so she asked for them. 5 minutes later the chic shows up with a side of bacon and my friend's lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Everything was bland.

Every time we asked for something it took her several minutes to process our request before she walked away and we had to ask for forks at least three times. We also had to ask for refills on water. Brains are not a requirement to work at this location.

Sunday night fuels the need for a quick vodka and tonic! I came here for a friend's "fun"raiser and with the location, pupus and company, I had a terrific time.

This is specifically for drinks and atmosphere. The bartender was super cool and made my vodka and tonics with a good attitude. The folks were super nice or maybe I'm a good tipper! Dunno but the location was fun but could use some a/c in the back,,

I didn't try the food but the drinks were stiff - the way I like 'em! Free parking (by Foodland) and relaxed atmosphere so check your attitude at the door and chill in Mililani.

What happened: we ended up at The Shack in Mililani last wednesday night.

What didn't happen: we didn't go to the Yard House, Senor Frogs or Shokudo in town as we dreamed/planned/hoped we would. Sometimes real life gets in the way of fantastic plans, which was OK with me.

I say it was OK because we had a really great time together, never mind the greasy food in plastic baskets, the interesting clientele, the grungy bathroom, the drunk chicks by the bar dancing with themselves and the heavy odor of pot in the bathroom.

We ordered the fried mozarella cheese sticks for appetizer. There were six of them in the basket with a side of marinara sauce. I recognize the flavor...its Farm Rich brand, frozen, from the local Sam's Club....but hey, what do you expect from a dive bar? It was pretty good.

I ordered the Fish and Chips and my friend had the Bacon Cheeseburger. The fish were three long pieces of fish on a rather large bed of curly fries. The fish were kind of burnt but I like my food on the crispier side, so no gripes here, although the food tastes like something you'd get a the cafeteria in a large hospital. My friend liked her Bacon Cheeseburger, the picture I took of her food looked a bit small but she was able to state her burger was pretty big.

Drinks consisted of Sex on the Beach and Margaritas on the rocks. My friend had sex while I sipped a pretty boring margarita. Our drinks were satisfactory, although after we moved to the bar area, the pours seemed stiffer.

Hilarious rooster painting on the wall bowling over men made us laugh (see pics) as did the women dancing with imaginary partners at the bar. It seemed they were "regulars". The bathroom was beat down and a heavy odor of pot was in the air. I wanted to make sure I didn't breathe too much of it in as we have random drug testing at work ;-)

Service was pretty good. Our waitresses kept coming around frequently to make sure we were doing OK with drinks and food. Change-of-shift was promptly announced, so I made sure to tip our server well.

Bill came out to $48.00 for dinner and few drinks and another $15.00 at the bar. Overall a good experience, but that's because I had great company!

I'd go back there again, but perhaps on a full stomach and looking only to have the drink specials.

Been here a few times, superbowl sunday being the last time I visited. The food is not bad, me and the gf ordered a full stack of ribs which to my surprise was pretty good! I have tried their burgers and buffalo wings in the past and they're pretty good as well. The prices are surprisingly low so that's always a plus. And not to mention the great service even though they were slammed in super bowl Sunday.

What I really like about this place is the variety of beer on tap. I'm quite the beer snob, you won't see me with a bud or heineken and seeing a nice variety of imported beer and domestic micro brewery beers puts a big grin on my face.

Come here if you want to have some beer, watch some sports and enjoy comfort bar food and decent burgers. I'm sure you'll have agood time.

Came here for a late lunch and Upon entering theres a sign that says to seat yourself so I just chose the first table I saw. The place wasnt too crowded but you could tell that there were regulars there enjoying thier drinks and just having a good time. The place looks pretty big because there were tables at the back and also near the bar area on the right. After sitting our waitress immediately came and asked for our drinks. When we were ready to order I got the pastrami reuben ($6.75) and my friend got the shack cheeseburger w/ a louisiana hot link for $6.75 minus the cheese. Also, if you want to add on fries or a salad its $2.99.

Our meal came our pretty fast and nice and hot so that was good, especially on a cold and windy day. My sandwich was good, the pastrami was really juicy and lean with some fatty pieces here and there, i wish it was stronger on the pastrami flavor but its still good, especially with tabasco =9 . I also liked how the bread was buttered and toasted so that it wouldn't fall apart. My friend also liked his burger and the sausage looked really good. Overall service was quick and was just here and there, coming when needed. Also, the other menu items sound pretty good so i'd give it another try.

Are you serious.
Let me start by saying that the waitress was okay but i guess she didn't remember that we came in 20 minutes prior to helping us. Not busy but we'll let her slide.
The food was okay like usual. They never disappoint but holy smokes, The bartender, tell him put some alcohol in our drinks next time. If I wanted soda water, I would stay home instead of taking the risk of a DUI. Please get good bartenders. Stop skimming on the alcohol. It's not that expensive.
In a time of recession, please don't mess with my booze.

Every time i walk into the Shack, as sentimental as it has become to me, i get the feeling that something bad might happen to me here. I dunno why, it could be cuz every saturday they've got a live local band which always results in a series of brawls, it could be because an aquaintance of mine had her head beat into the bathroom counter, or it could be because the bouncers play favoritism and tend to 86 the folks that end the fights instead of the folks that start them.

I like the bartenders that work there. Sometimes the food is okay. They have an alright steak for the price when you're schnauckered and need meat. I dont like their greasy things - i dont think they ever clean their deep fryer. Also i know they've had meese and would not like one of those deep fryed. Both Amy and Kathy make mean bloody marys. They got great big tvs to watch games on. And a machine with a game on it that's called walkin home drunk that i always lose at. I had a patty melt there a few days ago and it was cold soggy and tasted like someone flipped it with their feet. I will not order that again. And if you ask for a soda just so you know they went budget with it. If you ask for a coke they wont correct you but they'll give you an Rc Cola instead. Bleaugh!

Update** Took me almost an hour to get a basket of fried things. I take it back about the steak, i got that because the fried things were bad and i decided they couldnt -really- mess up a steak, i was wrong. Also, the bouncers are meat-heads. But all of this doesnt really matter because i wont be going back there.
