The Shack Restaurant

We stopped here after the Apple & Pork festival. The food was great and the prices were cheap! It is small and as the dinner rush hit, people were standing waiting for tables. We had the tenderloin and ol'hickory burger and they were great! The staff was great too!

The Italian beef covered in gravy is amazing.  Excellent service and fast.  Prices are very reasonable.  We will be back!

I enjoyed the Shack.  It's a basic, tiny little joint where the kitchen is in view the whole time.  Our server was friendly and attentive, and kind enough to check with the kitchen if we could have breakfast after the lunch service had started.  They allowed us breakfast, so we had some simple American breakfast stuff.  It was good, nothing spectacular, but it was the breakfast we were looking for.  The coffee was good.  I wouldn't mind visiting the Shack again if I'm ever in Clinton.  The prices are very reasonable.  The place has a cozy vibe with lots of old-school nostalgia.  I would like to try this Green River they speak of.  Little did we know that we had stumbled into Clinton during the raucous Apple & Pork Festival until our waitress let us in on what the commotion in town was all about!
