Pizza from hell, Elos from your local frozen food isle is a better more flavorfull dish than this crap put on our table to pass as Pizza. The stuffed Quhoag was a slimy spoonfull of stuffing that was anything other than appetizing. They could have at least browned it in the oven, rather than the damp, wet mess of goop they presented in front of us. I actually commented about how it had slid out of the micro sized shell, and was resting on the plate beside the shell, the server didn't give a care, turned her back and walked away.  This is a place that has seen better days, it is now a trap, a place for lackluster people who don't care about anything to go because they don't have anyplace else to go,...There are so many places in this area that want your buisness and at least try to get you to come back, this is a place that you will never visit again, and they could care less.

The decor from the 60s' is the most endearing aspect of the building. Gives the place a false sense of charm, because the food is literally from the same era, we couldn't belive that such a place could be this bad in this area???

The Pizza is a Sysco pile of material that literally has fallen off the back of a truck and then left in the sun on a rain'y day. Rancid. I don't understand how people can serve this kind of stuff from a microwave?  Nice and chewey, wet dough, cheese that has never seen a cow, and toppings out of a can that has been open for days, sounds appitizing???

    Service is a joke!

Tired and run down, a place owned by investors wanting to make a buck at your expense, no one gives a crap once yo pass into this dump that proports to be a pub! Survives only because of one time visitors and local drunks.  You want to bring your children here???

I can't give you a comprehensive review on all of the food. The three or four times I've been here I have always ordered the pizza, which is delicious. I'm a huge fan of pizza, so I tried to figure out what it is that makes their pizza unique. I finally realized their crust is very much like a pie crust, light and kind of flaky, with a great taste. Never had anything like it anywhere else. Really good choice of beers also. If you are there when they have live music, it just adds to the already great experience.

Perfect Apres Ski spot with kids!  We got there early on a Friday to a full house, but seated ourselves in a comfy nook.  Small menu with ample variety.  Hubby and I were starving so we ordered specials -- meatloaf and roast pork with yummy sides.  Pizzas for kids.  Shared desserts -- homemade chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches were AMAZING!  Larger-than-pint beers came quickly.  There was even free face-painting for kids in the front hall.  Looking like there was some live music setting up in back when we left.  And there was a lively, but not rowdy bar crowd.  We will DEFINITELY be back!

This really was a great little hole in the wall.  We sat at the bar and got excellent service from the bartender and ordered a ton of food for the two of us.  As busy as this place was on a Saturday night, the bartender didn't mind running back into the kitchen for a side of honey mustard or a side of something else.  They were packed but it seemed like everyone was well taken care of.

The food was good greasy pub food and the atmosphere was fun for a night out.  I'd definitely come back here if I was in the area again.

Food was great but service was extremely poor. They also don't do free refills on the small glass of soda they give you. Disappointed.

Very nice atmosphere with live music! It is a local hangout and they definitely knew we were not from the area. Regardless, everyone was very nice to us and made us feel welcomed. Pizza was not the best, but everything else about the restaurant made up for it.

Perfect spot in both the ski season and the camping season. Delicious Shepard's Pie (errr, that could be due to the surprise addition of bacon...), great beer, cozy and inviting pub-like atmosphere. Absolutely recommend a stop.

Nestled right in jackson is this gem. When you got sore thighs from pounding the slopes all day there is no better place to wet yer whistle and eat some good food. The pub pizza is awesome. I honestly think its the best pub pizza anywhere and I know alot of good pub pizza places. Also the bar is cool, but small. If you dont get a spot, its off to the tables where the stage is. Always some good live irish music played. The resturant is very busy on the weekends and is essentually a big house. The dining rooms are to the left and right as you enter and seating is cozy to accomidate more tables. You'll be hard pressed to find a better place to go for good food, beer, and fun..

The service wasn't great. The nachos were amazing!  The buffalo chicken and fries were good too. I would definitely go again. We didn't go when there was entertainment, but I heard it is even better with the entertainment.

Nice little pub along NH 16. Decor was good, live music was excellent, but food was just plain average. I got the "Cajun Steak Tips" and while there were OK, there was absolutely nothing cajun about them. French fries were below average, as was the butternut squash that also came with it. Got the brownie sundae for desert and it was OK (Flatbread's is much, much better). Other people in my party thought the food was just OK too. They got pizza and a burger.

I would go back though. Live music was great and service was excellent.

The only place for miles around that's open after 10, even on a Saturday night! And even then, only half the menu is available after 9. The pizza was mediocre, and the beer selection limited (though they did have a couple local crafts on draft), but the live music was fun. Seemed to be the most happening place for miles around. We almost missed it because everyone giving us directions called it "Shannondoah." Overall, great authentic local Irish pub.

I've only been there once and can't get my husband to go back.  I usually don't like to review a place after once.  I guess if you really like Irish pubs you will like this place.  My husband & I wanted some good food while on vacation and the food wasn't good.

Quintessential Irish pub.  Great music and good local crowd.  Busy. Fun. Guinness.  Great après ski.

Great local irish pub off the beaten path...
Not for you if your looking for a big loud Boston Irish Faniuel Hall bar. But the bar pizza's are tasty and the Guinness is good and cheap...
We went both Fri and Sat night and had a good time..the Irish Singer providing entertainment was good too....

I was looking forward to an Irish place while staying up in NH for a family vacation.  There were some Irish entrees, like shepard's pie, but they were missing bangers and mash, one of my faves.  I ended up ordering the Shepard's Pie, and it was ok, but a little uninspired.  Beef, corn, and mashed potatoes smashed down with a fork.  Nachos appetizer and artichoke appetizer were both very big servings, and nice and hot.  Pub looked like it could be fun, but we were with kids, so it was not an option.  Overall it was ok, I think I was expecting a little too much...

    Decent food for Jackson, NH.

The bar scene is a little more exciting than the food, but if you're in town with a group of people, you'll be glad you guys went here for a quick and easy bite to eat.

Live music on the weekends as well.

We went in here tonight; because it's self seating, we took a table on the deck-- there's music in the pub and on the screened in deck, which seems like a nice atmosphere. It took a HALF OF AN HOUR to get a waitress over to ORDER. This continued for the rest of the night-- waiting over an hour to eat sub-par food (not to mention a very limited menu.)
The only redeeming quality is the atmosphere-- the owners are out and about, in fact, they realized we weren't being served (after a half of an hour), and then were the ones to get the waitress. After continued bad service- we had to get up multiple times to get someone to bring us the drinks after we ordered, and to eventually bring us the check- the owner sitting at the next table decided to buy the table a pitcher of root beer to make up for the bad service.
Hopefully the waitress will be fired and this kind of service will never happen again. I was tempted to give her no tip what so ever.
Still, this seems like a nice family restaurant, run by caring hosts, in normal conditions, if not the best food or options.

I have been going to the Shannon Door since I was 3 years old and it was called Oak Lee.  It is the best place to have a pizza, greek salad, and a black and tan on the entire planet.  I never miss a chance to go there when I'm anywhere near the MWV.  The service, food, and atmosphere are second to none.  You should go there, period.

This place needs to be reviewed as two separate entities.

    1) for apres ski and early dinner it gets 2 stars.  Evey time we try to go it's a fight to park and a fight for a table (they have a crazy first come first served policy for this huge restaurant which causes the patrons to troll around and hawk out tables) and a fight for a seat at the bar.  Once you can get settled the food is decent and the service is fine but the room full of kids running around under the waitstaff's feet is off-putting to me.

    2) For a nighttime bar and music scene it gets 4 stars.  There is usually a great Irish band playing and the family scene clears out allowing the grown ups to hang out and drink down the Guinness.  They pour a good pint and the staff is always welcoming.

I'm bad at simple math but I thing that averages out to 3 stars.  The Shannon Door is worth a visit, just try to save it for a late night drink.

Far and away my favorite spot when visiting friends in the area. I almost always end up there on Sundays when they have Irish Folk music and 2 for 1 pizza (don't quote me on the pizza as things do change). The food is great in a bar food sort of way and the place is as unpretentious as it gets. Please check this gem out

I love this place. It's a cozy little hangout up on a hill just north of the center of Jackson Village. If you didn't know it was there, you'd probably never find it, as it is at the end of a little dead-end road. Decent food, good drink selection, and entertainment makes this a must if you are in or near Jackson.

I have been going to the Shannon Door Pub since I was eight-now that is a long time! I am never disappointed, this is apres ski at its finest! No fuss, good times, great food and even better waitstaff! Don't go here for a gourmet meal, meatloaf, Guinness beef stew and the best pizza in the valley. Don't miss Marty Quick either, tons of fun for the whole family.

This is like Doyles 'North if you live in Boston. A very comfortable, non pretentious --- you get what you order type of joint. Cash only (also like Doyles) and very popular with all walks of life. I think I paid $5.00 for a burger at dinner and got a tumbler of scotch for the same price --- really can't complain. They also do live irish music on the weekends so if you like that sort of thing --- check em out.
