  We went here a couple of times, most recently as a group for a farewell send off when a friend was about to get out of the military.
  
  Honestly, this place is nothing if not underwhelming. Yes, the building is huge, but it is a bunch of empty, poorly laid out and wasted space. Despite the huge building, they probably have the same capacity as the Chili's down the road.
  
  The food is terrible - I mean I know that this is primarily a bar, but really I haven't had such terrible bar food. Their beer selection is not terrible, but is still pretty disappointing.
  
  If you go in the evening or at night, it is as if the management doesn't care anymore because they expect their clients to be drunk, and they stop cleaning up. The last time we went it was pretty disgusting - from the floors to the tables, and even sticky stuff on the chairs.
  
  If you want to watch sports, they have a ton of TVs, but they are a bit old and pixelated. Some people may enjoy the atmosphere, but this is the last sports bar I would ever want to attend. On a positive note, some of the peripheral seating features personal tvs. That was a pretty cool touch!

  The place is huge, they serve food.  It is a sausage fest, but what do you expect out of Jacksonville NC.  There were many drunk Marines and Sailors.  It is a straight bar, but a guy looking like Dave Chapelle  was hitting on me.  Nice place to go if you want to have other Veterans  to talk and relate with.  Their food just serves a purpose of having something inside the stomach.  They had Merlot, but whatever Merlot they served, it was drier than my personality.  I only had one drink, didn't want to relapse into previous drunken sailor episodes.

  It's a sports bar, so if you aren't into that, be sure to go on off times. They don't have the best food in the world (for example, I've never been that impressed with the sandwiches), but all the appetizers I've had ARE pretty damn tasty - and the fries are TO DIE FOR (I will go there just for the fries). The service is decent and you get your food quickly.
  
  I have also been to a work function there (they have a side room with a separate entrance) and that was handled nicely.
  
  The one bad thing? Mixed drinks are not consistent...which, yes, I know different bartenders mix differently, but a drink should taste remotely the same from one visit to the next. At the aforementioned work function, I had an AWESOME margarita (or three - hee!). The next time I went back, I was all excited for the margaritas, and it was soooo bad I sent it back. I asked why the difference, and our waitress told me they had recently lost a bartender. I mean, if you have a sports bar and can't make a decent (even tolerable) margarita? Scary. We haven't been back to try a margarita since then.
  
  But the fries. Go for the fries.
