I never wrote any more on this venue, because I never stopped being livid with it.

it smells like pee and hippies and everything is way overpriced, plus the people who work there are douchebags

My band played a show there with four other local bands. Cover was 10 dollars and there were about 75 people there. Two bands got paid, three did not. Different people gave us different reasons why we weren't paid.

Ultimately, I called them out on a Facebook event and the manager responded defensively...after I pointed out the cracks in what he was saying, he stated they were in the wrong and it wouldn't happen again.

I am glad he apologized, but I don't know whether or not he meant it. So make sure you get the payment situation in writing before you start promoting, and make sure you talk to the manager before you start the show.
