  Overpriced and bad BBQ. This is not a BBQ place. I ordered the BBQ beef dinner, 22 minutes later I got dried up roast beef lunch meat slices drenched in BBQ sauce. The owner should be ashamed, this place is a roadside rip-off. The girls at the counter were nice, but save yourself some time and money, go someplace else. Plus they were out of white meat if you wanted chicken. Wow!

  Calls himself a BBQ joint, but bottom line is the owner is cheap. Ordered a beef bbq sandwich and was told that they don't use brisket, but some cut that I have never heard of that was supposedly leaner. Well, when I arrived back at the house, the sandwich was teeming with fat and fatty pieces of meat interspersed with the "supposed beef". It was up there in the top 5 of nasty sandwiches. I did return the food and the counter girl was nice, but made an interesting comment. "Oh I thought they were sending us better meat" Owner was not there to defend his beef, but can't expect much in this town, seems like every employee in any establishment here is a high school dropout with arms of tattos and even nose rings. The bag of Lay's potato chips was good though.

  I don't usually like fried chicken, but I'll eat THIS fried chicken everyday if I could. I live a good 50 miles from this restaurant and happen to be in town one day when a friend recommended not just Shorty's, but Shorty's broasted fried chicken--and OMG!!!! IT'S AWESOME!!! It's crisp, tender and flavorful--it's just like those potato chips, it's hard to just eat one; in fact I don't. It's so good I make it a point to eat here at least once a month now--I'd eat here a LOT more if I lived closer. In all fairness, however, the fried chicken is so good I've never eaten the BBQ or the pizza. If you're in the area, passing through or just have a craving for the best fried chicken on the planet, definitely eat at Shorty's!
