  My boyfriend and I LOVED this place. It's the kind of place that is so quaint that you'll wonder if you're in the right place when you first walk in, but when you're quickly greeted by the owners, you'll know you're about to be in for a treat.
  
  The owners are incredibly kind and the way they talk about their food offerings lets you know they prepare it with heart. Their menu mostly consists of soups and sandwiches, but each item has something that sets it apart from being simply ordinary. All the ingredients taste fresh and are cooked with care - no deep fried, greasy offerings here. I had turkey and caramelized bacon on a croissant (it came with a homemade honey mustard which I declined because I'm not a fan of honey mustard, but my boyfriend tried it and said it was outstanding). The bacon gave me and out of body experience - holy mother, that stuff was amazing. The caramelizing comes from baking/broiling it with a special seasoning blend ("angel dust," they aptly called it). I could fill a pool up with that bacon and eat my way out of it - that's how yummy it was. We also ordered an incredibly delicious reuben (geniusly made with a homemade Russian dressing), insanely delicious loaded potato soup, mini muffins with a whipped marmalade/butter spread, AMAZING locally brewed coffee, a homemade slice of German chocolate cake to go, and to wash it all down we had delicious cherry lemonade. OH and they gave us a sample of one of the items they are known for - their smoked chicken salad, which got a huge thumbs up.
  
  I just can't say enough about this place. It is a true slice of America - friendly, accommodating folks making a living by serving up an experience that is outside the box - in one of the most beautiful settings in America. I left the place and quickly called anyone I know who comes to this area to tell them it's a must experience. Far exceeded my expectations and hands down was the best meal we had on our trip.
