Skinny Dick's Halfway Inn

An absolute must stop if you're driving from Anchorage to Fairbanks.  Seriously, it's such a ridiculous kick in the pants to go here and see all of the "adult" items on sale at Skinny Dick's.  SD's offers a plethora of funny sexual/boobs/toilet/wangs based adult gifts at this establishment.   You can come here for a drink, but at the bare minimum, come here for the laughs and buy a gag or two.  I've only been here once, and there was nobody in the place when I came, but it's an absolute "must" if you are in the area.  An institution in Alaska and must not be missed.

Best bar ever.  BEST TIME EVER.  Friendly staff, great pour, amazing gift shop. If you come to Fairbanks and miss this place, you'll kick yourself!

Though it was early on a Sunday afternoon, the staff here was great - the young guy at the gift shop put up with all our humor and cut us great deals on gifts we took home; the gentleman at the bar upstairs was welcoming, friendly, and a good host (gave us great food recommendations - see Monderosa review).

There were a few others there having a drink around 11am when we showed up and it seems the bartender was keeping the atmosphere entertaining and enjoyable because it wasn't just locals, but tourists stopping by for a drink and a good laugh.

Note: the places is littered with penises, boobs, and all kinds of toilet and sex humor, so don't even bother entering either gift shop or pub if you're *at all* sensitive!
