This place is legit; the ribs are to die for. Friendly mom and pop place, no frills eat in or take out. The ribs were smoky, tender, meat falling off the bone, served two homemade sauces (a sweet BBQ and a spicy vinegar). Half rack was under $10 with two sides. Baked beans were smoky and delicious, cole slaw was homemade and fresh. Perfect stop for some good homecooked, Southern BBQ just off the interstate.
Review Source:Finger-lickin' good! We were passing through Marion on our way to Baltimore when we came across this little smoke house. The ribs were amazing--big, meaty, juicy, and well seasoned. The sweet and tangy sauce was delicious, we even got a bottle to go. Although I'm not a bean fan my husband says they were the best he's had in a while-- "intensely flavorful"--and we've had a lot of BBQ joint beans in the last couple of weeks as we've driven through Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and now Virginia.
If you're looking for delicious, small town BBQ this is definitely worth checking out.
