It's a quaint little place in a strip mall. There is a separate bar and restaurant area. The service is very friendly. On the plus side is that they offer a variety of home made sauces and their own brand of draft beer. They also have entertainment some evenings. However, the meat(pulled pork) was dry and the coleslaw lacked dressing. On the other hand the wings were juicy and cooked perfectly but, the Old Bay seasoning was a bit too salty. I was not impressed with their BBQ
Review Source:Sure the place looked nice, the wait staff were kind, and the sides weren't bad. Â But none of that could make up for the bloody pile of beef they placed on a stale bun soaked with the aforementioned blood. Â Ironically enough, it took quite a bit of time to serve this pit "cooked" beef, since there was no sign that meat touch a cooking media as the sandwich was cold. Â I am truly a carnivore, but looking at that bloody mass of meat activated my gag reflex. Â They kindly replaced it with turkey with no charge, but had the opposite problem, so overcooked it was so dry and the bun was still stale so that wasn't a one off. Â
Perhaps other people like raw beef sandwiches, but they should put a warning on the menu. Â I saw the same reaction from another couple sitting near us.
Best Pit BBQ is still Pioneer near Caton.
