I really like Snuzzles. There food is delicious and you always get decent size meals there. The best part of Snuzzles is the menu itself. It's creatively laid out also has a large variety of sandwiches, Â pizza, and stromboli. (the meglet is to die for).
The restaurant is very spacious so you never feel crowded there.
The bar is big, and has lots to choose from. Snuzzles is filled with locals which makes it have a hometown feeling.
Warning though, they only accept cash. (ATM on site)
I would live here if they would let me. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is always fresh and consistent. There are many different beers and drinks to choose from, all at a reasonable price. I have never had a bad experience and plan to continue my patronage until the end of existence.
Review Source:It's a nice place out in the middle of nowhere. Â Only accepts cash though. Â Food is good, big portions and they are all fresh. Â Good beer and drink menu, alot to offer The atmosphere is nice, dimly lit, but not too dim. Â The downside is it's very noisy, everything is either wood or stone tile, so the noise carries. Â Overall is a good place to eat, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it, unless I was already in the area.
Review Source:Been there a few times and found the food good and plentiful. Otherwise, the service was slow. Â Each visit seemed to take at least an hour, for two people for lunch, during the week. Â It was tough to get your water or beer glass refilled, since many of the staff were talking to their friends and the "regulars". Â If you like pizza and sandwiches and have lots of time on your hands, this is the place for you!!
Review Source:Been to Snuzzle's on several occasions. Never had a bad experience. Their food is good, always tasted fresh and created good memories to keep bringing me back. Worst experience was a weeknight when it got busy, seemed understaffed with waitresses and drinks were left empty.
The atmosphere is laid back, louder than most restaurants, and the restaurant does get very busy on the weekends.
Downsides; gravel parking lot (bad for parking motorcycles) and they don't accept credit or debit cards. However they do have an atm inside, not sure of a surcharge for withdrawls though.
If they paved their parking lot, I'd stop more often in the warmer months when I'm out with a group of other bikes. Not only do kickstands and gravel not get along, when people need to create their own parking rows, bad things can happen.
Good food such as deli  sandwiches, pizza and huge strombolis.
.If you like quite, cozy places, then Snuzzles is not for you as it has a very loud atmosphere..
Within the Berks county area, Snuzzles is another legendary establishment that is known for huge portions of their unique items.
Also has a full bar, with a more than adequate selection of beers on tap.
The worst thing about Snuzzles is the gravel parking lot which seems to take on the parking rules for itself. If you are there on a weekend night, be careful as you may have difficulty getting in and more importantly out as some patrons tend to not park with others in consideration.
A great place for some beers and to hang out with the gang, but not a great place for a quiet intimate dinner.
Does not take credit cards, but does have an atm with a modest fee.
I grew up in Kutztown and haven't been to Snuzzle's since I was in my early 20's.  I am so glad to see that it still is a great place to eat.  Loved the pizzas  and great atmosphere.  Seeing all the great reviews reminds me to go back with my family to visit my parents.  Thanks to everyone who bothered to review them!
Review Source:A trip to Snuzzles can only be described as transcendental.
The moment you pull up to the pitted gravel lot, create your own makeshift parking spot amid the rows of beat-up pickups, and approach the unmarked wooden warehouse of a building, you realize you're about to cross over. Something is about to happen--something that isn't quite Heaven, isn't quite Hell, but a strange symbiosis of the two.
Fancy New York interior decorators may line four-star restaurants with ambient mood lighting and authentic artwork, but Snuzzles has them beat. Imagine wood-paneled walls with no artwork, trimmed with wood, and then accented with wood. As you wait for a table, sit at the wooden stools at the wooden bar. Then (if you're lucky enough), your server will take you up the wooden stairs to a wooden second level of the dining room.
Don't worry about the lack of light provided by the small nautical windows--the menu's font is colorful enough to read clearly, even without your bifocals.
And what a menu it is.
Torn between buffalo wings and pizza? Order buffalo wings ON YOUR PIZZA. Hankering for clams casino pizza? I bet you didn't even know that was freakin' possible, did you? Love a certain vegetable (weirdo)? Snuzzles will deep fry it for you to make it even better. Dig booze? Snuzzles' cocktail menu offers options that your drunk aunt would make should she ever find herself employed at Baskin' Robbins.
If you haven't sought out this hidden Pennsylvania gem, it's about time you made the trip. Just remember to bring cash. And don't get mad at your waitress if the calzone you ordered is big enough for your significant other to pretend it's a football.
What a gem this place is! Tucked away on a side road to nowhere, it is always hopping! Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but I suspect they don't have enough ovens to keep up with their awesome hot dishes! The sandwiches are unique and very tasty. I am in love with the horseradish sauce they serve with fried veggies! The setting is wonderful! From toddlers to seniors, all can find something to enjoy. It is always a treat to visit, even when it's crowded. They have a great energentic staff that will joke with you and make you smile! I also enjoy how the names on the rest rooms confuse my man! Hahaha! Well done Snuzzles!!
Review Source:The best "secret" in Berks County? A restaurant located in the middle of nowhere that doesn't even have a sign is kind of cool in its own right. Â From the outside, it's a rather nondescript wood building in a gravel parking lot. But somehow it beckons you to find out what's inside.
Once inside, you'll find that the building is divided into two sides: a dark but comfortable bar area, and a cheery, bright, expansive dining room. I prefer the dining room. Custom woodwork abounds. If you are into wood, it's worth the trip here to see how they did it. It's not super fancy or intricate, but it is rather unique.
The drink menu is outstanding. I'm not a martini or mixed drink guy, but if I was, I think I'd spend the next year trying them all out. The beer menu is quite excellent as well, with a good selection of draft and bottled beers including Guinness on tap.
At first glance, the menu appears to be standard pizza and sandwich shop fare. But it's really better than that. Great apps, salads, pizzas, and strombolis. I like the pizza with "attitude." The sandwiches are some of the best you'll find in the area. Â Always made with fresh ingredients. The mushrooms in particular always seem so nice and fresh. This being the heart of Mushroom County, I think they get it. Â Awesome french fries too.
Don't be afraid to ask about the "customer creation" selections either. Sandwiches with names like "The Bill" or the "The Ellen." I think my favorite is the "Snuzzlene."
If you live in Berks and haven't been here yet, it's worth a look. Â Is it worth a drive from say, Philadelphia just to eat here? Â Probably not. But if you find yourself in the area, plug Snuzzle's into your GPS and check it out.
Back for another try, service was much better this time as I went on a less crowded Tuesday. Had an open face reuban type sandwich, sorry I forget the name. Very tasty indeed, in fact one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. They are using quality bread and meat, makes all the difference in the world.
Pretty good tap list at bar.
I regret so much that I did not find out about this restaurant until this year. Tucked back in the hills beyond East Penn Manufacturing, Snuzzle's is an unassuming restaurant that doesn't even have its own sign. However, the food, drinks, and overall atmosphere is the best in the area, by far. The prices are as low as they can possibly be, and the food is even better. By far the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had, some of the best wings, and some pretty delicious sandwich choices await you. Plenty of good beer on tap, and even more available for take-out, all for cheaper than you can buy it anywhere else in the area. Dining room is almost entirely wood, which is glorious. Roaring open fires keep you warm in the winter! Just remember to bring cash - they don't accept credit cards (but they do have an ATM with a modest usage fee).
Review Source:This place is an incredible bar and restaraunt in the area. I live about 2 minutes away and it takes every ounce of willpower to stave off the weekly Snuzzles cravings.
The taste, quality, and value of the food is always impressive. Â "Marios Wicked Pizza," their version of a buffalo chicken pizza, is a one-of-a-kind beast that must weigh nearly 5 lbs. In fact, when you order any pizza and pick out your toppings, they really go to town, loading it up with a whole lot of this and that. It's not 2 slivers of pepperoni and 2 dinky canned mushrooms on each slice, no sir. Â It's always a fresh and mouth-watering covering of veggies and/or meat.
The wings are some of the best around, and you can get a side of their wing sauce for any other menu item if you wish (such as your pizza crust, though the homemade crust is delicious enough on it's own).
There's also great subs, sandwiches, strombolis, and huge salads that are worth the trip. Check out the "Customer Creations" page for a smorgasboard of unique baked sandwiches and cheesteaks, etc. (Behold the Lisa-Anne: corned beef and pastrami on rye or pumpernickel with tomatoes, russian dressing, provolone and swiss, then baked)
The drink prices are reasonable, and you'll definitely get your fill. There's a long list of drinks, inlcuding dessert drinks, etc that look incredible though I've never tried.
The atmosphere inside is nice and relaxed, and the building in general is pretty cool to look at. Check it out if you're in the area.
This has been my favorite restaurant ever since I was a little kid. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming, the servers couldn't really get any friendlier, and the food is, well, to die for. I look forward to coming home from college breaks and coming to Snuzzles. Definitely give their strombolis a try, although be warned that it is near impossible for one person to eat one. The salads, likewise, are huge but delicious -- many of the dressings are homemade and full of flavors that can't really be found elsewhere. As for appetizers, the variety pack fried vegetables are absolutely luscious. So are the cheese fries. Actually, I won't even bother going on because I'm not sure there's anything on the Snuzzles menu that you won't like once you give it a try. Basically, lots of delicious and unique things -- it isn't really like any restaurant you've been to before. Could be hard to find if you're visiting for the first time -- it's a huge wooden building with a gravel parking lot and no sign.
There's a separate bar room which I can't really tell you much about (call me back in a year or two when I'm of age), but I know it always seems to attract quite the crowd
This place is fine for families with kids as well as large groups (call ahead if you're bringing a large group, though). Warning: it can get INCREDIBLY crowded on weekends sometimes, so you might want to come on a weeknight or for lunch instead. And they're closed on Mondays, oddly enough. They don't accept credit cards but there's an ATM in the back near the bar.
Oh, and I just found out that you can now order take-out online via their website, <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsnuzzles.net&s=7fe4169088dd35a033a9c6a71767f6440cef94b2a96cec0eaae1c5ed169c424a" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://snuzzles.net</a>! Good stuff.
the kind of bar that feels like home - everyone knows your name, you can take your parents here and they will run into someone they went to elementary school with. Â wood paneled throughout. reasonable prices. wonderful fried veggies, stick-to-your-ribs huge sandwiches and twists on old favorites like an updated reuben. some typical bar fare like pierogies, cheesesteaks, pizza. also has take out and a restaurant side with very good pizza.
