Socorro's Restaurant

I found this place last summer driving up to Colorado for vacation. I try to find local places to eat at and I also found Socorro's by accident, actually more like good luck. I had breakfast on the way up and lunch on the way back. I made sure I found it again this year on my trek.

I had Lorenzo's omelet with green chile sauce for breakfast (excellent) and the tortillas were South Texas good. On the way back, I had the green chile frito pie and it was fantastic. The homemade sopapillas were amazing.

Last year for lunch I had the chicken stuffed sopapilla and it was very tasty as well.

Service has always been very friendly and while it isn't a large place, it is very clean and comfortable. One of these days I gotta try the pizza.

Socorro's has become a standard stopping place whenever I roll through the area.

In the land of green chile, Socorro's has the very best!  Warm, friendly atmosphere. Very clean.  Wonderful food, like eating at grandma's house (assuming your grandma was a good cook).  Went fir lunch, looking forward to going back for dinner.  Everything was very good and the prices were very reasonable.

Just great! We stopped here somewhat by accident as our GPS took us to the wrong place, but we are glad we did. We all ordered something different and enjoyed everything. The sopapillas were amazing with our meals.
