  OK. My Philosophy on SS is that years ago it was a place called DD's. It was my favorite place to go locally and I had so much fun(i couldn't drink yet) Then it shut down and when it reopened as South side Steve's, I have always had mixed feelings, i go sometimes on the weekends with my friends, because its local and pretty cheap. But the music isn't that great, and they aren't that busy most of the time. My advice: check it out!

  the place has to be a hole in someone's bank account, I never see a big crowd in the parking lot. Double D's seemed to be a much better bar from what I remember of it.
  
  I would say even for a redneck bar this is a big fail...   neons are for the 80s and leave them in the 80s not in your damn bar.

  I  loved the atmosphere at Southside Steve Bar. Given the chance this could be one of the best places in Georgia to go.  I rather travel a distance and be in a good atmosphere then go to other places.  Steve offers a true southern hospitality . I been there three times .The drinks and food are reasonable. The guys said the girls are hot!

  If you have been to ANY bar INSIDE the city DONT GO HERE!
  They might have a few "Kings" of the Rednecks pass thru from time to time, but its not even a fun place to be.  The sound is bad, to top it off they play it at ear popping levels, beer choices are typical of a Ruby Tuesdays and prices are not that of a hole in the wall bar like it is.
  
  The inside is SUPER bright you'll feel like your inside a 80s strip club. This is bad even for the south side, and I thought this place was backed by a radio cleb..  does he not have a little $$ to invest, the southside needs a real bar and this falls VERY VERY short of that.
  
  I wont go back and I'ld suggest you go some place else.

  Super. Suck.  I was tricked into going down to McDonough with some friends. I met up with them at this bar and let me just say, awful, awful, awful...never again will I drive 40 minutes to meet up with people on the far south side of town. Boooo...
  
  Anyway, it was a Thursday and they had some kind of stand up comedy guy there. He was awful. Not funny.  There was virtually no one here.  Thursday nights are typically a pretty good bar night but not at this place.  Also, there was absolutely no diversity here.   I appreciate a place with a good mix of folks.  We left ASAP and went back to my friend's place for a few drinks then I drove home.  I learned my lesson!

  Wow. Standard bar, standard crowd. Mix of music only redeeming quality even though I could only stand to be inside about 5 minutes before my eardrums threatened to leave my body so I spent most of the night out on the patio. Came here for a birthday party and dint envision myself coming back unless another person needs to indulge their inner redneck. Definitely not my kind of scene but can see it being popular to a certain crowd.
