Sports Page

My husband and I  went to Battle Creek this past weekend to visit some friends.  We decided to go to the Sports Page for a bite to eat and to sing some Karaoke.  Karaoke was on the first floor.  The food was great, and reasonable.  The drinks were not watered down whatsoever and also very reasonable.  They said it is now under new management.  I don't know how it was before but we had a great evening.  There was a live band upstairs playing classic rock.  The band was a blast.   We danced, socialized with other customers, the place was [packed!  Talk about a great place to go for an evening.  We would highly recommend the Sports Page.

They have good food, and their seating is pretty good.  I enjoy their burgers, and when you order food the portions are usually very good.
They even have a mezzanine area for private parties, which I think requires a reservation.
The only things I could say about things I have noted that bother me about the place is that during the winter time, if you sit in some of the booths, every time someone opens the front door, despite the double door system in place, one gets an icey draft.  So that is probably more of a design flaw of the building, not sure.
The other thing is they have some big screen TV's, but they are old and not really in good resolution anymore, so if you are going there to watch a ballgame while you eat, there are better places in town.  Also the best seating for this is at the bar area, and if that is full, you have to watch the game from across the room over some rails, etc. between you and the TV unless they have other TV's on.
Otherwise, it has great atmospere, and pretty good food, so it is worth going there.

Good bar food, good service, good prices. Nothing really outstanding here, what you see is what you get.
