I can honestly say this is one of the best sports bars in South County.
We stumbled upon the Pub after hearing people at the Workout Co talk about it and we always look forward to going back. Â They have a great wait staff who is always very friendly in greeting you upon your arrival. Â They have a great abundance of tvs that have every game possible on and on Wednesday nights they have awesome karaoke with a great sound system.
Their food is amazing...the homemade chips are a favorite with us!
If you're looking for a place in South County...this is one to choose!
Might be one of the best sports bars in town. Â It just has the right look and feel, lots of TV screens, decent bar food, happy drunks. Â I guess it doesn't take a whole lot - it's just got a fun vibe to go with their extremely mundane/generic name. Â Being pretty far off the beaten path would probably ordinarly be strike two except I can say with great certainty this area is crawling with the type of middle-aged beer swillers that love this kind of place. Â So will anyone come here if they're not from Oakville? Â I highly doubt it, since enjoying a good sports bar just about requires one to hoist back a few cold beers, doesn't it? Â If so, why complicate matters with a few extra miles down 270 and Telegraph? Â Happily, we live pretty close, so for me, this is a great neighborhood sports bar.
They had a big crowd the other night for the World Series.  They're not trying to re-invent the sports bar here, but prospects for the success of  SportsPub, or The SportsPub, whatever, are excellent until everyone in the neighborhood gets too old.  Because if it's anything like the rest of South County, they're not likely to move away first. Â
Bottom Line: Â A very welcome addition to the area. Â For everyone else, you can go on pretending Oakville doesn't exist.
