So the visit here started off pretty bad as we sat at the table for awhile and was not even acknowledged by anyone. On our way out we saw the owner and let him know about our experience or lack thereof. He wanted us to stay and so he took care of us with some drinks.
Now to the food. I got the fried catfish and my husband got the Philly cheese steak. My catfish was cooked well, needed just a little more seasoning. The Philly cheese steak was very good and the bread was awesome.
So I will give this place one more try as they have all you can eat wings on Wednesdays.
If you went to King's Buffet when it was here this place is owned by the same people. We saw the same owner walking around as at King's. This place has a lot of potential, but just falls short in a few areas. It seems like they just did a whole redo for as cheap as possible.
There was only one menu on the table for all of us to share. The bar glasses are plastic cups (including the shot glasses). We had a one year old with us but no one offered a high chair, right before the food came we asked if they had any and the server brought one out.
The service was fine, but you can tell the girl behind the bar isn't super experienced. I think they could really benefit from hiring more experienced servers.
Now the food is actually pretty good. The burger was well cook, very juicy. The shrimp on the po'boy was well-seasoned and the bread on both sandwiches was very fresh. We were really pleased with the food. The only issue was that it was about a 20 minute ticket time and there were only 2 tables including ours in the place. I would be nervous if the restaurant was actually busy.
I mean, if you're in the area give it a try. The food is good, they have lunch specials as well as a billiards area and air hockey table. The service could be better but no one was rude or anything, just inexperienced it seemed.
Pretty cool place .. I ordered the chicken fajitas and had a few local brews.
