Springhouse

This place is a real treat and a bit of fine dining surprise on lake martin.  We enjoyed a great meal Saturday night and were impressed by the restaurant's open vaulted architecture.  2 at the table had a beef short rib that was prepared as slow smoked meat ( vs. the slow cooked stew style you see most often) - it was great!  I had a flounder that was light but had a wonderful flavor.  Our waitress Sarah was very helpful and attentive. We met Sam the manager who is from my brother's home town and he helped with some wine selections.  He is studying for an advanced sommelier designation and seems to have a great passion for the culinary arts.  I think his wine list was great - we all had different choices by the glass and they were unique, reasonable and above all delicious .

Horrible BOTH times... Gave it 2 shots. Skip the meal and go to Catherine's Market next door!!
