This is a great place to hit some balls and have a few beers. They also have really tasty bar food and a glorious popcorn machine, so your appetite will not overwhelm you while you imbibe.
The owner is a really friendly guy named Bruce. He makes you feel welcomed and sometimes even gives out coupons for free buckets of golf balls!
There are a several bar games if you are the type of individual who like bar activities. Also plenty of seating if you prefer to mellow out while you have a few.
A laid-back, low-key environment!
This place is pretty cool. A buddy of mine and I were doing some training across the street and happened to have our clubs in the car, so we stopped by to grab a few drinks and hit some balls.
We started off getting a bucket of beers and then headed out to the range. The entire hitting area is covered and has plenty of fans and ventilation. There was some loud music playing in what was definitely an unusual atmosphere for golf, but not unpleasant.
The range has a bunch of random objects strewn about for you to aim at... like a Seadoo jet boat, old cars, giant targets, metal garbage cans... all of which are probably viewed by the ball retrieval guy as a welcome distraction for the many drunken golfers that would otherwise be aiming for him!
The place would be PERFECT if it had a grass hitting zone. I hate hitting irons off of astro turf and I even asked if I could hit from the grass, but they said no :( Luckily I was drinking and so enamored with the rest of the place, I didn't really care... but when I am seriously working on my game, rather than just having a drunken good time, I won't stop by this range.
BOTTOM LINE: Golf and cold beer. A+
A wonderful place for someone to relax and get a few swings in.....I love coming here in the morning. It's peaceful. Most ppl hang out in the park or in coffee shops but you'll usually find me over here in the mornings.
This place has got it all covered:
- Distances nicely marked
- Affordable prices
- Food
- Drinks including a full bar and daiquiris too
- Lots of space
- Putting green
Note: Most of their rubber tees are in bad shape due to their extensive use. Sometimes hard to find a tee that will hold the ball. Â
All in all a great driving range!
This is a great driving range. Â I know what you are thinking "a great driving range"? Â How hard can it be?
HItting area is well lit, well ventilated with o/h fans and individual fans for each area. Â Matts are in good shape, multiple tees available and good balls. Â The driving range is well marked and also well lit,. Â The hitting area is attached to the bar/restaurant. Â Drinks are very reasonable, help is friendly. Â The only bad thing is the mosquitos can carry you away certain times of the year. Â They carry bug spray, you might have to ask for it. Â
During busy periods, the help can be a little overwhelmed. Â It helps when the outdoor bar is staffed, but tee box service can be a little slow.
