  First of all it is a BAR that serves some very good bar food.  You can stand outside with one foot in Illinois and one in Wisconsin.  Or did you have too many beers or get hit in the head by a dart?
  
  All locals - but me.  And I felt like a celebrity just because I was visiting friends down the block.  Everyone wanted to tell me their Chicago or suburban experiences.  You'd think we were in the Northwoods or up in the U.P.!!!!!
  
  Anyway, State Line is friendliness personified -- and the bar food is really very good, but you have to have a few beers while they cook your pizza or burger to order.  And if the bar is busy, you may have to have a few MORE beers, because the bartender is also the cook.
