  Had a very good burger and fries from here today. Instead of the normal bun, I had them sub in a pretzel bun from a sandwich they offered that I didn't care for. That bun and meat from a double was very good.

  Loved the milkshakes here, I would give them alone 5 stars.  
  
  The food and service not so much.  
  
  Go thru drive thru for your milkshake and you will be in good shape.

  I'm usually not a fan of people Yelping chain restaurants - but considering Steak-N-Shake is non-existent in the two places I've called home, Southern California and New York, here is my take on it.
  
  I had the Western BBQ n/ Bacon burger and my dining partner had Wisconsin Buttery Steakburger.  Both were fine.  The fries were cooked well but kind of bland, although they really do come to life with the special seasoning that you can add yourself.  The Side-by-Side shakes are a neat concept, although you'll probably feel like an idiot trying to pronounce their names.
  
  While this place has nothing on In-n-Out, I can see why some people compare it to Five Guys Burgers and Fries.  What made this place extra special though was the quick turnaround and friendly service.  I think it was pretty obvious to our server that we were in a rush - we had five more hours of driving ahead of us in order to make it back to Chicago in time for our dinner reservations - and he did everything possible to help speed things up.
