Crappy food!
Microwaved frozen broccoli that had a puddle of water left on the plate. Chicken strips previously frozen and then deep fried.
Nothing was made fresh to order!
Our waitress had no idea what beers they had and then when we asked what kind of hef it was she told us that the hef was a dark beer because it was in a brown bottle. Ha!
This place is way overrated and way too pricey for the quality of food and service.
You might as well go to a fast food place and get the same food but save some cash.
The food is delicious, I don't eat beef, so it was nice to find good seafood selections at a steakhouse. Â Growing up around here, if a guy wanted to impress a girl, he took her to Steve's Steakhouse. It's still the local standard for "fine dining". Â Their prices are reasonable for the types of selections they offer. Â My husband took me out on a romantic date including Steve's Steakhouse. Â Our service was ok, and the salmon was ok, the warm bread and honey butter were yummy, the salad was standard, my steamed broccoli was mush, so overall, not super impressive. Â
Here's my 'beef' though, I can't believe a place would call them selves a steak house, have a reputation for being the fine dining in the community, charge fine dining prices and use PAPER. Â WTH? Â Paper napkins, paper place mats, and plastic condiment cups? Â Seriously people, step it up a notch and invest in some linen. Â I was surprised we weren't served on paper plates with plastic forks! Â It's not a pic-nick folks, lets class it up a bit.
I ate at Steve's around the year 1999, and it was at that time the best steak I had ever eaten in any restaurant. Since then I have moved to cattle country also and havent been back, but that steak at Steves was the best steak I had ever eaten. Â Unless the management or the recipes have changed, GO to Steve's and get a steak!
Review Source:We started going to Steve's about 14 years ago, on our way from L A to Aspen. The service has always been first class, and the food good.
Trout is usually good, and the meat very good.
Tonight, our waitress was very nice, and attentive. We both had the new York steak -- delicious; maybe not the best, but the best in town.
We will be back

Well I must say I was totally disappointed in my last trip to Steve's. Â I have been going to Steves since I was a little kid. Â I have always recommended Steves as "the only" steakhouse in richfield. Â Never have I had bad food or service at Steve's until my last visit. Â Maybe it was an off nite. Â I had bad service, (and they weren't busy). and they were out of prime rib so we had two Ribeye's... they both had horrible gristle and were extremely tough. Â I had looked forward to it for some time and it turned out to be a real bummer night out. Â I called Steve's the next day, the lady I talked to promised to have Steve call me to discuss my evening. Â A month later I still haven't received a call. Â Â Hoping it was an off night but really bummed at the response.
