My boyfriend and I didn't have any plans for New Years Eve, so we decided to come here on a whim, already having been fans of the place because of their pool hall and cheap drinks.
It was only ten bucks to get in, and that included a buffet, a live DJ and a champagne toast at midnight. There were a decent amount of people there, but the place wasn't packed (definitely a good thing). The buffet food was yummy, the DJ was good (not my favorite music but people were def shakin their butts on the dancefloor), and, as usual, the pool was fun and my bar tab was low at the end of the night. There was even a raffle for this GIGANTIC 50" TV...no, we did not win :(, but, oh well! It was a really fun night nonetheless, everyone there was having a great time, including us!
If the food was good, I would give it 5 stars too. The staff is great and it's the best place around for playing pool. Â However, I've eaten here 3 times and I only have good things to say about the chicken tenders (they were fresh and delicious).
The burgers are the worst. The first I tried was a turkey burger and it was dry and over-charred. I tried again with a standard cheeseburger - it was the worst burger I've ever had. Again, dry and over-charred. Definitely reminded me of a hockey puck. And the bun tasted like it came from the day-old rack at Stop and Shop. The sweet potato fries were good, but I think those would be hard to screw up.
I would definitely go back for the ambiance and the drinks, but I think I'll have dinner elsewhere first.
