Lets start by saying the outdoor seating area is very nice in the summer time. Covered well, and has TV's. The bar however, is quite limited in the beverages they have. Apparently if i order a certain beer outside, and the inside bar only has it, i am out of luck.
The inside looks like it is out of a 70's or 80's restaurant movie. Interesting, but i am not the biggest fan.
The food is ok, but for what you get, a little over priced. I think the best thing on the menu is probably the onion rings. It comes out looking like they dump 5 gallons of onion rings in a basket, and the sauce it comes with is great. I would say that I am about 99% sure this is the most unhealthiest thing i will ever eat. Ok, ill just say it, it is the unhealthiest thing i will ever eat. But its delicious!
I would just recommend to go to the 99 restaurant about 5 minutes down the road. But if you want to stay away from a chain, and be a little different, try the ale house. Its meh ... not good, and definitely not great. But If i am home and cant think of a place to go, not afraid to swing by, and sit outside.
It's always bustling and crowded; however, I'm not the biggest fan. Â I've been to the Ale House three times and have never left satisfied.
The restaurant is very loud and has a huge bar that is always packed. Â Unfortunately, I've had slow service in all of my visits there.
As for the food, I've been underwhelmed in my three visits. Â The steak was overcooked and the fish and chips were all batter and no fish. Â While the pasta wasn't bad, it didn't stand out from what I can make at home. Â One item that I did find really good though was the chicken tenderloins appetizer, as the chicken was juicy and tasty.
