I was expecting to pay some sort of cover here, fortunately there wasn't one :)
Sooo much fun here. The music is great, drinks are decent, and everyone is good looking and dancing their butts off. There is a balcony area for the females if you feel like shakin' what your mama gave you minus the boys trying to dance with you.
Highly recommended if you want to party it up in Newport.
Eh...hahahaha.... this place is so fun. I don't fit in at all. But I really love to dance when Dj Nook is on the decks (whoooo doesn't?!? I was there before he got all Rhody famous, yeahhhh schelpping record crates and breaking up fights in Beantown) but... this isn't about ME now, is it?
You'll expect bouncers at the door who won't let your male friends in unless they've got popped collars and hair gel (no joke!) a $10 cover on Saturday nights after 10 or something like that, and NYC priced cocktails (relatively). It's cool because there's a view of the Newport bridge and downtown Thames St, good for people watching on multiple levels. Really a place to go rock out and dance, and it gets crowded. There's the area for the hot chicas to writhe sexily all gesticulating their anorexic asses up above the dance floor - I like to compete with them by shaking my cellulite in their faces! Kidding. Kidding? Kinda...
Anyways it's not a small dark chill danky bar, its a shiny large dance-y club place where you pop your collars and order $9 vodka sodas and wait in line for a toilet! Actually, that last part is a lie. I'm not really sure how much the drinks cost (us cellulite shaking bitches don't have to pay for our own libations - that's right, line em up! Men) and the bathrooms don't usually have a wait, which is kinda amazing considering the amount of people who roll through here on the weekends.
This is a weekend review, only. OBVY! I don't know what it's like on nights sans Nook.
Definitely Classy/Trendy/Upscale/Touristy.
