  They have a good variety of food and its inexpensive. The interior was pretty clean. Theres a separate room for private parties, but the waitress said that on Friday night fish-fry and Sunday brunch they open it for regular guests when the dining area fills up. The service was good. I started out with a nice bowl of chili and a meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes it was all homemade, but I could only eat half of it because it was too much. I would definitely recommend this place.........

  Let me start with the positive.  I liked the marble rye bread and the slices were generous.  And our waitress was pleasant.  The omelet was ok--I was taken aback to see a razor thin slice of processed cheese and a few canned mushroom slices atop the very thin, non-fluffy omelet.  There was some cheese (not as much as I would have liked) and more mushrooms inside but they didn't make for a great tasting omelet.

  Painfully average small town diner. Food is average, inexpensive. But you get what you pay for. If your looking for quality home cooking, look elsewhere. If you just want a quick meal to fill the void, and dont mind pre-processed food, then Sunrise will work for you.

  food was horrible. my boyfriend and i went there for breakfast one morning, and we were not impressed, nor satisfied. the wait staff was nice, but the food was not. i ordered cornbeef hash and it was straight out of a can and heated up!!! my boyfriend orded some type of omlet, it had sliced processed cheese inside and out, and was a frozen omlet, NOT fresh. it wasnt even shredded cheese. we asked the waitress what was the popular thing there, since we are from CA, and never ate there, and she told us the blueberry pancakes. the blueberry pancakes were GROSS. not even fresh blueberries, more like just a blueberry pancake store bought batter!! we will never return here if we visit NY again.

  Bathrooms were pretty clean. Oily Monte Cristo, overdressed salad, burger was undersized and overcooked.  Did I mention the BR was clean?
  
  You always hope for a pleasant surprise in a restaurant that's been around for "generations."  Not this one, suggest you give another place a shot.

  I'd give the sunrise 2-1/2 stars but Yelp doesn't have that option.  It's a basic diner with decent breakfast and lunch options and typical diner fare for dinner.  Fine if you're hungry and need to stop in the nearest place for a meal.  Not outstanding, but solid, basic American food.
  
  They do have good pie, though - baked in-house.
