I went last year with a few friends, and as we were in our early-to-mid 20s, the three of us probably bumped up the average age by 5 years. Â No smoking, no alcohol, all ages, I think the place was a Dress Barn a few years ago. Â
It smells like red gatorade and sweat and 14-year-old hormones in there. Â
I would have loved to hate this place in middle/high school, and probably would have been there every weekend. Â I made the OTP trek for a band I really love... not sure that I would do it again. Â It's great people watching for angsty, pimply, posturing teenagers though.
I mean, for what it's aimed at target market-wise, this place couldn't be doing better. Basically, it's a pretty large space rented out in an old shopping mall and installed with a sound system and stage for shows. Being located in the suburbs, there's not really a lot of this kind of stuff out there, so this is a good addition to the area, though mostly it seems to be overrun with snotty pop punks middle schoolers and band garage bands that make your stomach hurt.
They run shows here almost every night of the week, and there's a decent local crowd installed from the local high schools that get dropped off by their parents here.
Occasionally they do get midsized touring acts, for which I believe they bring in outside sound sourcing.
They don't have alcohol because mostly there are so many little brats running around they'd probably end up getting in trouble.
I wouldn't play here again, and I probably wouldn't go to a show, but it's good to have around.
